Massachusetts 67 Rhode Island 62

they had like 6 or 8 players back.....i hope you arent one of those ready to bash Danny because the team is 10-22 next year...when you do a rebuild the first year is always going to be challenging when the previous team was 7-24

You do know that the guys listed ARE Hurley's assistants, right? It's not like he's just being sentimental.

OK, thanks, I did not know that. If we hire Hurley he gets to choose his own staff. Same with any other HC hire.

I expect Cox to be considered for the RI HC position if Hurley leave for RU or another program that's looking to replace their HC.
Danny , if he becomes the RU HC, will probably bring in a whole new staff after cleaning out Jordan's and some might not be from RI.

Who are you talking to ?
As for me: I support every RU HC the minute they are hired and don't expect them to be miracle workers their first year on the job.
Know there are those who start knocking the new HC the first chance they get and other jump off the bandwagon after the first year expressing displeasure before that coach really had a chance to prove that he could get the job done or was incapable of making the program successful.

Wagner and URI are not pathways to BIG 10 HC's.
Some people would say Siena isn't a pathway, but that was Iowa's Coach's last stop before becoming the Hawkeye HC.
Illinois' John Groce went there from Ohio U
Pitino was the FIU HC before Minnesota hired him and it was his only head coaching job
before becoming the Gophers HC . Also he was a HC there for only one year having left his father's program to move into the HCing ranks.
Matta of OSU went there from an A-10 school the same conference Rhode Island is in now.
Purdue's HC was a head coach for one year before getting the Boilermaker job and that was at Southern Illinois a Missouri Valley Conference member .

I believe that's enough to prove being the Rhode Island HC doesn't disqualify Danny Hurley as someone who should be considered.
My objection to his being the best choice is that he never had to fix a mess like RU MBB is now and I'm not sure if he's capable of doing it.

Mike Brey from Delaware to ND ( but he only coached in the American East!)
Jay Wright from Hofstra to Nova (but anybody could win in the Americaj East!) derp
Dana Altman from MVC Era Creighton to Oregon ( but he's from Nebraska why would he win at PAC 10 school!)

Don't bother trying to get a thought out response from RutgersDon..he just says absurd things in one or two sentences then he's out.
