Dear god these people love the power they feel in their groin when they make these calls.
We will most likely see many variants develop in the months and years ahead while there are those who will use this as a permanent weapon of control against people and society. My father 30 years ago once claimed there would be only one class of citizen someday the very RICH . While the POOR whom they claim to be in support of will bare the burdens to keep them in the position of wealth and power. No different than what has been the reality in many places of the world.

Of course the buffoons on this board with you being chief buffoon don’t bother to read all of the details. There are an additional 15 presumed positive cases on top of the 5 and their rate has doubled since the more contagious variant has been found. So not really overkill. Get it under control and then continue with the schedule.

I don't know if it is. I've been following the numbers in the UK closely for the last several weeks. Right now the 7 day running average for Wuhan Virus deaths is around 1250, which is 300 higher than when they were going through the worse of it in April, and back the countries and governments were still trying to get a handle on how to treat it. Oh, and that 7 day average is, and has been, on sharp increase.

A friend of mine in industry doubts the increase in deaths has much to do with the lethality of the variant and more to do with hospitals being overwhelmed much worse than the spring

Meh, the country will continue to elect liberal leaders who will continue to give "stimulus checks" and the rich will be taxed heavily. Meanwhile, we can all say adios to hard work and hello to a "class of citizen" collecting free handouts.
