Looking at their schedule, they have CMU and Purdue at home. And OSU has WMU, @Indiana, UMD and PSU all at home. Which means, most likely, that in the span of 15 days, we will play both #2 and #1 in the country at home. Has that ever happened before to us? And could it have happened at a worse time....

well that is certainly something to look forward to :flush:
wonder how long it will be before somebody says "if you want to be the best, you have to play the best"?

If I remember correctly a few years back MBB played the top 3 teams in the country within 1 week. First time it happened.

If you want to be the best you have to INVEST (time, money, skills) like the best. This applies to everything in life.

RU can't lose every game in the next 100 years to OSU, MSU, and PSU ... Can they?

"Someday our best will good enough to beat the best"

That someday may never come, unfortunately.

Oh great.. more good news...

Let's not go crazy here. Michigan State was a top ranked team anyway. Are they suddenly that much better because Alabama lost to Ole Miss? It is an interesting schedule quirk and cool for the B1G overall to have the two top teams in the AP poll.

While of course I hope we shock the world and beat one of those teams, it would be an interesting debate if they play a close game and they finish the season 13-0 and 11-1. Do they both get in the playoffs?

Probably not but for all of us it's not 100 years that matters, it's before we die. Much more likely under those numbers.

to put my scarlet glasses on / RutgersAl hat - we can beat the #2 team and then the #1 team back to back :)

This one is gonna be pure pain my friends. Connor Cook is going to have a freakin' field day against our D.

i've already given up on the season

See, as one who had very low expectations for this season (predicted 4-8 with an outside shot at 5-7), I want to see if we can pull this thing back together, beat KU and Army, plus pull one out against either IU or Mary. Problem is that both IU and Mary are looking good on O (Maryland with all the losses they took a better than expected, for sure...). That being said, unfortunately, I think the losses might be uglier than last season.
