Navy (Schedule) Could Paralyze Bowl System-MSN Article

It's opinion. Ohio State will have a better overall record than whoever wins the B1G and if you're counting only conference champion then you're completely discounting the OOC component of the schedule. A team can go 0-3 in the OOC schedule and win the B1G championship (same for other conferences), thus, the OOC schedule become nothing more than exhibition games. Don't agree.

Edit: I have no issue with putting all the CC winners in a playoff, however, the playoff needs to leave 2-3 spots open for the best teams that either lost the CC game or did not make the game (i.e. Ohio State)
Totally agree. No faster way to ensure all P5 teams start playing totally garbage OOC's than to automatically put all conference winners in. I'm all for an expansion to 8 teams but let's keep in mind this is not the NFL where a league sets a team's schedule. It is critically important to reward teams that play a tougher OOC slate.

Don't understand this thinking at all. There is no benefit to scheduling cupcake teams..since OOC games don't matter as much. What matters more is a great resume..in case you don't win your conference. Thus, better teams should be scheduled..as there's no punishment for losing OOC games, just more to gain if u win.

If all you have to do to punch your playoff ticket is win the conference, why risk playing an Alabama, an Oklahoma, an LSU? Play three or four cupcakes and have your stars sit the second half of each game so your team is ready and rested for the conference games. Why risk injury? Why get your guys beat up in meaningless games? If you can't understand this thinking, please look at the travesty the last week or two of the NFL season has become.

You risk that so if u don't win your conference (ie: OSU or Michigan this year), u have good wins to get the, possibly, 1 at large bid.

Think it's well worth it to play great teams when a loss doesn't mean anything but a win might mean everything.
