The Johnnies go down.
Not sure how the committee voted them in when they knew their starting center Obekpa was suspended for two weeks.
I thought they took into account things like that.

Anyway, that's one more CYO team down, hopefully Providence is next.

Looking like the Big East will fall to 4-3 so the Big 10 and ACC will have the most teams in the Round of 32.

The Big 10 was clearly tops in the first round - a couple convincing 7/10 wins (Iowa by 31, MSU by just 7 but they never trailed except for early in the first half), a 10/7 upset (OSU over VCU), a 3-point squeaker by MD, and the big dogs took care of business (Wisconsin). Purdue lost by 1 in overtime to a higher seed and Indiana lost by 5 to a higher seed.

The ACC, while going 5-0, was unimpressive with a bunch of squeakers - ND over Northeastern by 4, UNC over Harvard by 2, Louisville over UC Irvine by 2, and NC St. over LSU by 1 - the first three were heavily favored and NC St. was the higher seed. Even UVA struggled with Belmont for most of the game. Duke had the only easy win, and they were only up 10 with like 10 minutes left.

I really thought we got a very bad situation thrown at us. I don't blame Dayton they have to do what the committee says but for us being a six seed and having to play a team that probably should have been an eight with a chip on their shoulder in their home state was just not fair. That being said we got badly outplayed I thought the officials were really bad but not the reason we lost. We had it tied at 33 in the second half and were completely out played from there very disappointing.I knew coming in we were a flawed team and a good coach took advantage of it.If I were Rutgers I would throw a boatload of money at Archie Miller he is the real deal.

St.john's loses 4 seniors. If they win 15 games next year will be surprised.
