They are much improved, and shoot well.
Things are up for grabs this year.

Both teams in 2nd half are terrible. Virtually no scoring at all.It could get worse for Iowa. Here are Iowa's next five games:
Sun, Jan 1 @ Penn State
Thu, Jan 5 vs Indiana
Sun, Jan 8 @ Rutgers
Thu, Jan 12 vs Michigan
Sun, Jan 15 vs Maryland
One made field goal in the last 6 minutes of that game.Michigan tied with central Michigan
Even though UM (and Iowa) lost tonight, their fans will continue to look down their nose at Rutgers. This is why it's important to take them in the alley and beat them like they stole something from us. I feel Rutgers has as good of a chance to win the B1G this year. Every team has major flaws, and those warts show their ugly head often. Our defense can help us more than any year to overcome the perceived top teams in the B1G.One made field goal in the last 6 minutes of that game.
Three straight missed three pointers to close it out. Yikes

In the past, I would agree Iowa is at its best when they have its back against the wall. This year seems different. They don't have a "go-to player" who can carry them. Iowa doesn't have the same ability to score at will as the teams of the past. Combine that with a team that is worse than ever playing defense is a recipe for disasterThey are king to have their backs to the wall
Maryland plays Michigan before us ….
At least Two of the four of Iowa, Michigan, Maryland and Rutgers will have their back to the wall come MLK day ….
Damn, I'm going to finish below .500 in the predictions at this rate.

Fran must be soooooooo mad
They have a thread predicting they go 0-20 in conference play 🤣Iowa board meltdown is in full effect after that one. Can't say I blame them.
That's an overreaction, but they won't be favored until that home game against Northwestern unless they start winning games. They have a thread predicting they go 0-20 in conference play 🤣
But surely they have at least on game against Indiana? They have a thread predicting they go 0-20 in conference play 🤣
There is a prediction thread that has them sweeping Rutgers but I'm sure they don't think that nowThat's an overreaction, but they won't be favored until that home game against Northwestern unless they start winning games.
Here you go:There is a prediction thread that has them sweeping Rutgers but I'm sure they don't think that now
Most, if not all, teams go through ups and downs. Will they really finish with less than 6 wins?

Thu, Dec 29 @ NebraskaWL
Sun, Jan 1 @ Penn State L
Thu, Jan 5 vs Indiana L
Sun, Jan 8 @ Rutgers W
Thu, Jan 12 vs Michigan L
Sun, Jan 15 vs Maryland W
Wed, Jan 18 vs Northwestern W
Sat, Jan 21 @ Ohio State L
Thu, Jan 26 @ Michigan State L
Sun, Jan 29 vs Rutgers W
Sat, Feb 4 vs Illinois W
Thu, Feb 9 @ Purdue L
Sun, Feb 12 @ Minnesota W
Thu, Feb 16 vs Ohio State W
Sun, Feb 19 @ Northwestern W
Wed, Feb 22 @ Wisconsin L
Sat, Feb 25 vs Michigan State W
Tue, Feb 28 @ Indiana L
Sun, Mar 5 vs Nebraska W
that would put us at 19-11 (11-9 Conf), a winning record in the Big Ten might be enough to get a play-in game in the dance
NW squeezed by BrownThat's an overreaction, but they won't be favored until that home game against Northwestern unless they start winning games.
I saw that prediction after the Eastern Illinois game and thought, good luck with that, but wasn't going to post it on their board. I'm pretty sure that poster would change that prediction today. They may wish to rethink the sweep of RU, especially at the RAC…there’ll be no bank-in miracle shot to save their sorry a$$es
Exactly right! They are tougher than usual. Iowa and Michigan may be easier than usual. Hate to whine but hate having to beat MSU at the Garden. Giving away home court advantage.People are going to have to learn the name on the front of the jersey doesn’t matter this year in the Big Ten or else they will be in for some surprises.
Penn State, Nebraska, Northwestern
Are now less winnable than
Iowa, Michigan
