New Rutgers Fan Creed

I support all of those ideals. Doubt it makes any impact, but no harm in trying.

As my nephew likes to yell in my face 'BE NICE!!!!'

Can we go around yelling: "We are ..... RUTGERS!" now?

All great
I find it juvenile when we don't respect our players and don't welcome our opponents, etc.

I agree.

It's sad we need a creed to enforce. Again, no harm at all.

Just dont see the point. 3/4 of the posters on this board already don't follow this..

It may be wrong but as I read this in my head I kept adding
"except Penn State"

This seems like a solution in search of a problem. Not sure why anyone feels the need to tell the fans what they need to do. How about if we create a creed for the university and athletic department?

I'll start with: Players shall sing the Alma Mater, win or lose.
The RIGHT one.

(which I think they do anyway, right?)

What? Nothing about what to wear, when to get in our seats, or who to vote for? This is like a corporate mission statement. You get a few touchy-feely types to draft something up that once unveiled is put on posters that are largely ignored from that point forward.

Sorry, but the alma mater sucks. Players shall sing "Loyal Sons of Rutgers." Schiano is an idiot.

Can't agree with #1--it's pandering--every fan base thinks they are the most passionate, but we would be if we had more of a winning tradition since we would have been at it longer (1869)

#3--What is this, a courtroom? And when did the players become judges? (Exception for Jeremy Ito)

#4--we already don't have a home field advantage--this would make it worse

#6--Do we have an enthusiasm problem? I think the fans have done their part. How about a better product on the field?

#7--Not really my responsibility, but I did help someone find their glass eye under my seat after he removed it while pointing out that even he could see that play better than the ref

#12. All well aged single malt scotch SHALL BE SHARED with DJ Spanky.
