They’re our two worst weights going in. Realistically if you want to be competitive being down 7-0 at this point is probably as ideal as it could realistically be.
Cool but I'd really like to be able to cheer once in a while. Even just for a takedown or reversal or escape when they try to keep us down. Anything would be a bonus.
If you were truly expecting to cheer at 157/165 today then you haven’t been watching this team in at least 5 years

Yeah but regardless he didnt get a takedown entire match and really wasn't that close besides one time he could have abandoned the double unders and got for the TD instead.
Agree. Very worrisome especially considering issues he had 2 yrs ago with similar situation. Wonder if mentally something goes awry with him in these losses. Hopefully he can fight back. I’d consider sitting him vs Brooks. No win situation. Not going to gain confidence and will most likely be a real bad loss
Well certainly seemed somewhat undersized in last 2 matches and had hard time finishing so not sure I believe that. I am sure he is strong but strong relative to other 197’s is the question.
Probably best to sit him and feed one of the backups as a sacrificial lamb. He also has Jaxson Smith after that who is Maryland’s best wrestler so he needs to get right but as we’ve seen in the past, it doesn’t appear that easy for him.
