They better change something up becuase whatever the fvck they're doing isn't working. I said at the beginning of the year I didn't think we'd be very good, got hammered for it, and still don't think we're very good. Young or not.

4 guys left in prequarters. Need soldano and Boone to advance. And an upset from either janzer or turkey would help make up for the poor start.
YOU should ALL be embarrassed, not our men. Look at the way their “supporters” are “supporting” them. First match of the biggest and hardest tournament, you could even say in the country, and you are ALL tearing them down. Do you think these men don’t come on here and see these comments by their “fan base?” Why are you tearing down their confidence instead of supporting them/praising them like YOU ALL claim to be when they succeed?

How many times can we get ridden out for the full 3rd period and end up losing by one. Cmon man
It made 0 sense. I called it before the period. You gain nothing by taking bottom and have everything to lose. Neutral would have been 1-1 and came down to a TD.
Don't waste your breath on these guys ...they want everyone fired and feel the kids are losing on purpose I guess ...when u don't have lives and the only thing that you have is to tear down this team that kinda shows what's goes on here unfortunately ..my guess is it's never gonna change so don't waste time on these knuckleheads ..they all wrestled in the Big10 or didn't you know that ..
Exactly. If you choose bottom and escape it’s 1-1 and next takedown probably wins. If you choose neutral, it’s 1-0 with a riding point and essentially next takedown wins and you don’t run the risk of a ride out with a guy who is way better top/neutral than bottom
Tough wrestling but Turley falls short and loses 1-0. Not sure I go down in that situation since he’s struggled on bottom.

I’d love to go to tell them that they’re shitty at their job every week when they’re doing it and see how much confidence they would have after.
People have every right to be disappointed. It’s been an embarrassing performance no matter how you slice it. This isn’t rec wrestling where everyone gets a medal.

But if you can sit here and watch this and tell me these kids are as prepared as the loser seeded kids they are losing to than you are wearing scarlet colored glasses. Well I see where this thread is going. Truly the best indicator of this team having a bad day on the mat is when Harley shows up on his high horse. Enjoy the rest of the tournament guys. I’ll be watching the rest on my own.

An opinion on how he wrestled or his performance and negatively impacting his confidence going back out there isn’t. And if you think it is, show me your accolades.
If the guys lose a match during the big tens and run to this forum to see what any idiot online posts and it impacts their confidence, we are in worse condition than I thought.
It's a place where Rutgers wrestling fans from all over the country can come to talk. I don't get why you bother to come on here if it offends you so much. No one is making you or anyone else read this. I also hope our wrestlers are mentally stronger than to care about some obscure message board.
So If an NFL quarterback looks u prepared and throws 4 interceptions in the first half, I can’t question because I’ve never played quarterback in the NFL. Sound logic
Im a fan and a supporter, an alum and a doner. I don’t expect them to win every match,m. But I do expect to see a prepared team with energy and effort,

I want every guy to win but also call it like I see it. Coaches are paid a lot of $ to win and have these guys prepared. Give us something to root for and we will do it.

So an accolade or two THEN entitles someone to an opinion? 🤣 There's probably no one on here that doubts the dedication it takes to be a B1G wrestler and there are plenty of wrestlers on this board and/or people who have been around wrestling who possess a great amount of knowledge for the sport. The criticism is warranted. This has been about as bad a first round as I could have imagined. And it's only the prelims!!!
In most cases, the comments are about their performance, not them. I am reading criticism about preparedness and other things the program is responsible for. Essentially, what I have been raising the red flag about for years. I don't blame the kids or criticize them.
Crazy scramble for Heavyweight and Boone comes out in the end. Good job.
Nice win by Boone, got interesting at the end but finished it off!
Boone has a tendency to relax and get sloppy when he is on his feet. He was close to having that tied right at the end. Thank God for Boone's heavy hips.

As per goodies opening conference talk, we need to go out there and beat guys we aren't supposed to. That means figuring out what the heck went wrong this first round and rebounding well. Let's notch some wins in wrestlebacks and turn it up. salvage the big ten rough start. Go ru.
