No. 22 Rutgers Wrestling Set for 2023 Big Ten Championships

That I don't get. Kid has double boots not working side to side but Heilman gets called for stalling. Something needs to change with that definition of stalling.

In most cases, the comments are about their performance, not them. I am reading criticism about preparedness and other things the program is responsible for. Essentially, what I have been raising the red flag about for years. I don't blame the kids or criticize them.
He was limping at the end, injuries suck.
Yeah I think he missed the last few weeks leading up to BIG. Feel bad for the kid, he had a real shot at the top of the podium this year, with a win over Yanni in the beginning of the year.

I hope the almost two week break before ncaa is enough for him to be close to 100%

Well... Not much to say about soldano match other than brooks is the best p4p wrestler in the country imo

I missed the announcement did someone from RU inj. Default? Or receive a default?

I did not expect Kannaird to lose to this kid. 12-14 freshman. SMH there's really no highlight to cheer about or technique to point out, it's just not good wrestling or effort and very disappointing.

Kanniard let one get away. He has spurts where he looks like he can really wrestle and then other times where it seems like he kind of breaks down.

Janzer wrestling tough. Let's get a win and finish on a more positive note billy!

Nice match by Janzer. Good to see his offense open up

Well after the first session we are in dead last….not a great day or approach. Can’t be acceptable. Not much more can be said about that.

Kannaird is the only one who has been knocked out (I believe)

He got beat by Purdue wrestler Buell 8-5

125: Peterson vs Brown
133: Heilman vs Foley
141: Joe O. Vs Filius
149: White vs Lamer
157: Clark vs Lewan
174: Turley vs Fisher
184: Soldano vs Dow
197: Janzer vs Caffrey
285: Boone vs Vasbinder

Who beat Kannaird? Can someone post who is left?
Bill. It’s complicated situation. You can lose twice. But they wrestle until all allocations are met. Plus they wrestle after that because if you’re on the bubble finishes one spot short of allocation it is a Ncaa criteria to determine the at large selection. So technically everyone is still alive. GO RU.

If anyone cares to differ with me go ahead. In 2016 that team lost a lot in big ten tourn. Did not look good. Read above. End of the day all 10 made it. Now I am not saying that’s going to happen again. Just don’t prejudge the process if you don’t know what you’re talk about.

Program is a mess
Hoping to start a fun & interesting convo here between sessions:

What would you do different to make the program not a “mess”?

I think our lineup is fine - we are just getting out wrestled in the Big10s (hardest wrestling conference in the country).

I wouldnt. Bring back Buxton or pollard next year. I would bring in two wrestlers with college level or better success. To help develop current wrestlers and recruit more talent.

Stop. It’s a young team. The toughest league in wrestling. Like I said previously get your allocation. Make it to the big show. When AP made it in 2014 from The EIWA. You think it mattered to him how he got there. All you posters need to really relax. Seriously!!!

It’s been excuses for years. The bottom line is recruiting is not up to par to even be in the top half of the league. We haven’t had a big win in about a decade. The shit is stale. If you can’t see that I don’t know what to tell you.
