Thought for sure Norfolk St was headed for BTN. While these games are technically national broadcasts, I know ESPN News isn't available in all cable packages.

Not sure national on ESPN News is actually better than regional on BTN.

I was disappointed these games are on the ESPN family. BTN coverage is so much better in terms of studio and announcing crew compared to ESPN's D crew who know nothing about our team, typcially make mistakes on the players and occasionally present inaccurate information.

I know TV is captain of the ship, but to have a Noon start on Youth Football Day is going to keep a lot of teams away since many practice on Saturday mornings. For those who don't know, youth football players, staff, coaches, and family/friends can get tickets for only $15. Call the ticket office at 866-445-4678 Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00.

Last time we had three September afternoon home games....we started 9-0!!!!

Tan though Pandemonium in Piscataway!!!

Noon start on September 5th. Ugh.

I wonder what the over/under in Vegas on the number of people who succumb to heat stroke this year will be.

Thank goodness for the 3:30 start on September 12th. It's just too hot anymore in early September for the players and the fans to be playing noon games.

This crap is another reason you lose season ticket holders.
Noon on Sept 5 = Dumb.
Noon on Homecoming = Really really dumb
Gets old that the ticket buying fans take a back seat so games can be on
fuc#in' ESPNNews What a frickin' joke.

Is it better for Rutgers to play at a dumb time on a crap network at the discretion of ESPN
or would it be better not to be on TV?
How much value do these games have for ESPN?
Would the Big Ten/ESPN contract be severely affected if the Big Ten didn't give up so much control?

Really seems downright silly for the noon start for Norfolk State! Noon start for Homeoming defeats the purpose of Homecoming but at least it's not November I suppose.

It's annoying because it lowers the value of our tickets but the fact that I'm going anyway doesn't change anything except ruining homecoming tailgate.

Yes they are a value to ESPN. Live events trumps the ratings they can get with any type of studio shoes. Why do you think we have a million reality live voting shows.

At least we have Wazzou....noon for Norfolk on almost assuredly a warm day is atrocious. ..the game screams 7pm start

And noon homecoming well it doesnt get worse than that does it

I don't mind the noon games because I can start tailgating and drinking at 9 AM. Taylor Ham egg and cheese with a few craft beers. I will make sure to stop at a bakery early in the AM for some fresh rolls. Get home to watch the 330 and night games while drinking a little more.

I was hoping Washington State was a noon start because I have some place to go that night. I guess I am going late.

glad the Washington St game is at 3:30. I'll be in Cape May for a graduation ceremony from the Coast Guard on the 11th and spending the night there. This gives me pleant of time to get back

Love people complaining about TV while talking about all the revenue we have coming in the future
