One Cinderella hard to root for

And I think it’s very sad that folks cannot accept or tolerate other peoples values and beliefs without launching into hateful tirades. It’s why we have lost any semblance of civil discourse today.

If there was an Islamic based school in this position, these same posters would be huge fans. That's the irony.

Looks like you could use a safe space angmo. I'd recommend going to college, where they have such things and where you might actually learn about religion.

I see you can't contain your bigotry toward Muslims. That's too bad. But no need to focus on that. Let's focus on reality. I haven't said one bad word about Christianity. Nor would I. The teachings of Jesus are amazing. It is incredible that he taught this 2000 years ago. What I have criticized are the hateful and bigoted sayings of Jerry Falwell, which have nothing to do with Christianity.

If you want to side with racism, homophobia, misogyny, and ignorance, there is no stopping you. Just realize which side you are on.

Actually our little friend @angmo clearly does side with racism, homophobia, misogyny, and ignorance, based on his posts in this thread. He's an embarrassment to Rutgers (assuming he's a grad) and is quite possibly the biggest d-bag I've ever seen on TKR and that's saying quite a bit.

Careful, Numbers is going through one of his typical white liberal guilt manic episodes. It happens from time to time. Leave him alone until it passes.
:)

Smileys don't make you any less of a troll. No guilt here - what would I possibly feel guilty for? I'm not the one who supports a misogynist, racist, homophobic POS "university" and, while we're at it, POTUS - that would be you and your ilk.

Melting down....bringing politics to this board...take a timeout

You are embarrassing yourself Numbers

Take your atheist and liberal bs and shove it

I take it that means you won't apologize for saying sexual abuse of kids was beneficial to them. That's got nothing to do with atheism or being liberal. You simply have no excuse for those comments and you need to apologize.

Get a grip #'s . Why are you bringing that board over here? Who goes back to old threads and digs up old stuff? Go measure some snow if you have that much time on your hands. Go Liberty

I didn't bring the politics into this thread - others did. And coming from the guy with 150,000 posts, including countless inane, moronic, childish ones on the CE board, forgive me if I chuckle at your advice to "take a timeout."

Don't reply to Numbers during a LWG episode. He is throwing a tantrum like a little child. Just ignore and only reinforce good behavior (like training a whale at SeaWorld). Trust me, it works!

This is basically a CE thread, so big deal. And from the guy who just bumped 20 threads on that board in a childish attempt to score political points, my sympathy meter is pegged at zero.

You should apologize to the victims of MJ and abused children everywhere for your heinous comments. Just be a grown up and admit you made a mistake.

I’d hope by the time my kids are 18 they’d been taught enough to make their own opinions on these topics.
It's not an opinion. A person who thinks the Earth is 6000 years old, and dinosaurs coexisted with humans, is in denial of reality. For Liberty "university" to teach such garbage is a detriment to society. They should be openly mocked and ridiculed.

If they teach this as fact..agree. If they teach this as religious belief..then nothing wrong

It's my religious belief that people with dark skin are inferior to people with light skin, that women should be the property of men, that homosexuals should be thrown off of buildings, and that witches should be burned alive.
You all good if these are taught under the flag of religious beliefs?

Once again..if this is taught as fact..no good. If this is taught as far as studying your specific religion..I don’t see an issue

All of you (both sides of the argument) should just stick to embarrassing yourselves with your "basketball knowledge"

In a search about LU, I found this( 2014 article) :
“Creation Studies 209” is required of all of Liberty’s 100,000-plus students and claims to provide a “thorough understanding of the creation-evolution controversy,” and “draws upon knowledge from religion, science, philosophy and history.”

Would be an interesting class to me..in my opinion.

I remember at Rutgers when I was a student (02-06)..they had a big debate one night at college ave gym with a scientist and a creationist about origin of life. Very fascinated by it

atheist would want to tell us there is no god
that's dumb, considering how many religios an atheist can choose from.
One of those religions must be the one that honors God best.
You have all your Christian sects
Historical Protestantism – 300–400 million[10]
Modern Protestantism – 400–500 million
Anglican Communion – 80 million[168][disputeddiscuss]
Continuing Anglican movement and independent churches – 0.4 million
Catholic Church – 1.285 billion

Latin Church – 1.255 billion
Eastern Catholic Churches – 16.3 million[3]
Canonically irregular groups
As for me: I believe in God but wonder why there are so many religions to chose from all claiming they represent God's will and many of them seem more business like than trying to do God's work .
Also some religious leaders seem to preach hate more than love and there are those who claim to folow their religious beleifs as Christians , think nothing of bearing false witness for political purpuses and feel it's alright to hate your neighbor cause that hate will be justified in the end by the vengeful god they believe in.
