1. Yellow Lot Parking Staff: Pleasant and Professional. Well done!
2. Sheriffs/Police: Right balance between making presence known but not overbearing.
3. Thank God for slight cloud cover and breeze because If not, people would have been hospitaliized.
4. Why Why Why? Despite numerous gates that could be open, we get the same bottle neck on the West side every year. The get in early crowd has to shut their collective traps until they come out and see the crowd 20 minutes pre-game.
5. $6.00 waters unconscionable!!!! Highway robbery and just wrong on so many levels.
6. Did the Scoreboard post any out of town scores? Bummed. College Football Fans. Post scores please.
7. God Bless the New DJ. Bruce and Badlands! Fabulous! Some Ramones and Bon Jovi: New Jersey/ New York strong and smart. Song that sounded like bad tuba's/horns awful. "We're Having a Party" after a win please! Local band, the Rogues' jig version of Alma Mater is worth a listen. Changing words to Alma Mater is awful.
8. As much as I like the new DJ, still like to hear the band a bit more.
9. Pet peeve: Play to the home side once in awhile. Not fair to half the stadium and the RU side.
10. Huge flag was great.
11. Looks like making attempt to get Wi Fi with speaker like things all over.
12. Student turnout impressive.

The Falafel bowl sucked but it wasn't the worst thing that I ever eaten, my grandfathers blood sausage still is the winner. It was a contender for worst list.

They should be giving out free water on health hazard days, they cost less than 5 cents per bottle in the bulk they buy.
I don't know about handing them out, as it's a high profit item, but $6 is nuts

Got a link to that "Rogues' jig version of Alma Mater"?
Here you go. The band's name is A Band of Rogues and they recorded this version of the alma mater (with the original lyrics) a few years ago. I've posted it here a few times, but I'm sure not everyone has seen it. One of my very good friends (Tommy Burns) is one of the main guys in the band (he plays accordion and guitar and sings on a few songs) - he's a fellow chem engineer (class of 88, if I recall correctly). The band is really good live - high energy, playing a nice mix of classic Irish covers (some traditional, some rockin') and originals.

$6.00 behind 124, 125, 126 in "Hydration Station" Ridiculous and RU should be a bit ashamed. No smaller size available there. Rogues version on internet and posted on Facebook. Have no idea how to do a link on this site. Lol!
Ok. I didn't do the 'Hydration Station' (didn't realize that was a thing although I probably walked right past it) but bought water from a vendor behind 127-128 as well as the usual built in vendor area. I can only imagine the $4 waters were smaller; I believe they were 16.9oz bottles. The ones you bought had to have been bigger or it wouldn't make sense. Not that paying $4 or $6 for water makes any sense but I ran out of the water I brought with me so I had no choice.

You guys do know that you can bring water bottles into the stadium, right?
Put two per person in the freezer last night; they helped keep the cooler cold while tailgating.
Then put into a clear gallon storage bag to carry into the stadium.
Had ice cold water for the entire game
Cost about $1 and a little effort

Bought $4 water right behind 123. Wasn't very cold, though, and this was in the 2nd quarter.

The 3rd quarter cloud cover was a life saver.

New thing for the folks who forget about the clear bag/purse requirement: they sent you to a truck at the corner of the yellow lot where they had lockers to store your bag/backpack/whatever they won't allow inside. Nice touch--only they charged $10 for the privilege.

Canned music was too loud and too frequent. I'd like to hear our band more. They also played the canned stuff over the Howard band when they were trying to play. I thought that was a bit impolite. There is also little coordination between the music, the PA announcements and the time available during time-outs, particularly the TV time outs.

Kudos to the planners of the military appreciation day.

No horse video? They oughta be horsewhipped!

The Port O Johns that are normally at the back of the front part of the Green Lot, were mysteriously gone. A bit of a walk for those of us in the front of Green.

They played the music ridicously way too loud and too long into the play on the field. Guys were lined up on the ball and the music was still playing. It was quite ridiculous IMO. I'm paying to see the sights and sounds of a college football game, not piped in music right up to the snap. That part of the game experience was quite annoying and something that seriously needs to be rectified.

Six dollar water, forty five dollar parking in Johnson Park, hope no one need a stadium epipen.

The audio in the stadium was definitely improved. It looked like they took down the out of town scores and put speakers in where they were. If you looked there, it was see through with no digital boards behind it. Even though the music was played loud it was much better than the high school game speakers in the past. The students love the music so I'm sure that's why they do it.

The students did a great job holding the "RRRRR" throughout the chant and not speeding it up after the second or third "R". This was always a problem in the past.

The wifi/cell service seemed much better. Had no problem checking the scored on my app. Could be because there wasn't as many people in the stadium as for a bigger game. But still saw improvement.

They were playing music over the Howard band but then the Howard band played while the game was going on so there's that.

Ash in that long sleeve was making me hotter just looking at him!

They rearranged the Colonel Rutgers song that the band plays after TDs. The key changes in the middle.

And I got a huge kick out of the fact that the band played the Pokemon theme at the Scarlet Walk!

I also mentioned in another thread that they finally put up the flags of the other B1G teams in the stadium!

Not only did I forget, but I never heard about it. Didn't get in because my girl's purse was "too big." No Townsend drops nor Tim firing had me more pissed. I'm all for security but don't surprise me and then fleece me

Didn't they force you to remove the caps before you entered the stadium? Dangerous to have bottles with caps on them in the stadium.

Stupid rule!!!

Players at the Scarlet Walk:

Jackets
Rutgers ties
No cell phones
No headphones
Smiling
Engaging
They walked directly onto the field & up thru the tunnel to the locker room
Well done & classy

I brought 4 bottles of water in. Always do and its never an issue. Hubby also brought in an empty spray bottle that he filled with cold water once in the stadium. He was very popular spraying our section down.

Bag rules have always been in place but not always enforced. This year they are very much enforcing them. As a comparison....psu now has a no bag rule. You may only have a ziploc bag and they are wanding every single fan as the go I to the stadium. Wanding. Every fan.

I was in the front row of Blue. There seemed to be a bit more room for tailgating. Never saw the cops come buy on their ATV. I thin I only saw cops walk through once actually.

I heard The Alley was a big success packed with students.

Sounded like noise pollution on tv. Its a college game where people want to hear the bands, not DJ Khaleds collection or ACDC 40 times a game. Plus that Metallica song on third down has run its course. Someone brought this up during the offseason and i noticed it yesterday that the crowd is not going apesh** crazy loud because they're busy doing the stupid aur guitar thing. Probably wouldn't hear the crowd over the PA anyway.

Dame shame Rutgers will not listen because the more fans complain about this, the worse it gets.

I think some of the parking guides must be new this season, at least those in the green lot..... We got there over three hours before kickoff, so it was not overly hectic where the could not handle it

The wanted the cars to be in the usual double rows, but did not allow for those in the front row to have tailgate space in front of their car, they wanted that row to pull up right behind the tailgate in front of them..... This caused a backup in the lot as the people pulling in did not want to park where they were guided...

. The attendants did allow cars to back out and find space, so it was not like they forced you into a non tailgating situation..... But they have to know that fans who arrive way early probably want to set up a tailgate either in front or in back of their car

Exactly, either have free coolers of water or allow sealed bottles to be brought in. I brought sealed bottles. The concession in my section ran out of water at half time, they restocked sometime in the 4th quarter but that's just stupid.
