I haven't seen anything on the 2020 Champions League, which is interesting this year because they're only playing a Knockout Tournament instead of their usual Home and Home rounds. So far in todays Round of 16 games, Man City and Real Madrid is tied at one in the second half while Juventus has taken a 2-1 lead over Lyon. PSG/Atalanta and Lepzeg/Atletico Madrid has moved on to the Elite 8 while Barcalona/Napoli and Bayern Munich/Chelsea plays tomorrow.

Today's games are second leg, the first legs were played pre-pandemic. Going forward, it will be knockout.

My apologies. I couldn't find scores from the first leg. I thought that this was the first games of this round.

But Lyon has the all-important away goal! One of the stupidest rules in sports IMHO.
No, not really. Not sure the real reason. But this is probably to make up for a third and deciding game (if necessary).

Do UEFA still do the draw before every round or are they going by brackets? As of todays wins, Man City will play Lyon and so on.

Juve sacked Sarri after just one season after losing to Lyon.

Juventus have contacted Pochettino, Lazio’s Simone Inzaghi, Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini and former Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti over taking charge in Turin.

I thought head coaching/manager firings were rough over here. They fire people out there like changing underwear.

For the big clubs or the clubs that are desperate to stay up, they'll pay anything. Even tho a manager isn't going to be able to fix a slow, aging squad like Juve without a couple hundred million more $.

And to think, Pep Guardiola was on his way out last month until City got the ban reversed. Now they're getting ready for the CL Quarters along with the 2020-2021 season

Pirlo finished his playing career in the US with NYCFC.
I remember that. NYCFC tried to make him and Frank Lampard the stars. Both didnt have those types of years in NY while David Villa became their first legend.

Saw this on Pirlo, also saw where Pep and Zidane were first choice for Juve. Since they weren’t available they will give Pirlo a year or two to prove himself before either becomes available.

MLS is trash. When an over the hill former Barca supporting role player comes in at 60% of his old self and can become a club legend... that's pathetic.

Don't be a snob. MLS is a Top 20 league in a world that has a whole lot of leagues. Of course it is not the quality of the Big Four or Five or however many bigs there are. That doesn't make it trash.

MLS is on par with mid level English championship clubs, BL2 type clubs. It's not remotely entertaining to watch, imo.
