I'm gonna need a scotch. Make that a double.. . . with Diaz for 6 outs if needed . . .

No way i'd play Bader unless Milwaukee is throwing a lefty. It’s going to be a very tough game tonight to say the least.
Brewers have all of the momentum and their home crowd will be insane.
Hopefully somehow the Mets can remain resilient despite manager malfeasance last night
For tonight, Can’t play auto out JDM ( go with Winker at DH to inspire enthusiasm) and I d also play Bader in CF over Taylor.
Memo to Mendoza: it’s all hands on deck tonight and hopefully you have a chance to use Diaz in a meaningful sequence !
Hoping Alonso makes a positive game changing statement tonight to cement his folklore in Mets history!

I understand your rationale. I just think Bader has a more explosive bat / more potential to hit the ball out of the ballpark than Taylor. No way i'd play Bader unless Milwaukee is throwing a lefty.
He’s clueless right now and not seeing the ball.Alonso's face looked so lost last night...just saying. Need to see some Paul O'Neil in him tonight.
What about all the other hitters and the fact his cutter wasn’t cuttingFrom today's article in The Athletic--makes sense, and hindsight is 20/20 in life and baseball.
"Two factors influenced the Mets’ decision to turn to Maton for the eighth even though he’d be pitching for the fourth time in five days. First, though closer Edwin Díaz was available, the Mets didn’t want to use him for more than three outs, given Díaz’s heavy usage of late. (Mendoza said, “We were just going to keep it at one inning today,” and Díaz said he was told to be ready to secure four outs if necessary.)
Second, they liked Maton’s cutter against Chourio’s swing. Chourio’s expected numbers against cutters were worse than those against fastballs and sliders: Of the 22 home runs he’d hit up to that point this season, nine had been on fastballs, four on sliders and none on cutters.
That’s why they went with Maton over keeping Stanek and his hard four-seam fastball in the game, and that’s why they preferred to hold Díaz for the middle of the order in the ninth.
“The whole time we were going through the situation, we wanted a Maton-Chourio matchup,” Mendoza said. “It just didn’t work.”
His cutter cut up the Mets. Here's what Mendoza said about the others. What about all the other hitters and the fact his cutter wasn’t cutting
I hear you on that!!!!!I'm gonna need a scotch. Make that a double.
I’m glad Mendoza at least inserted Winker at DH
I saw that in his face. I don’t have the TV coverage to watch many games during the season so only followed with online box scoresHe’s clueless right now and not seeing the ball.
You can tell by his takes and check swings the ball is the size of pea to him.
Ump has missed 2 strike calls so far both against Mets.Ball four to a strike out
