Well that hit took what little air was left in the crowd right out. But question. Should the Mets have walked Dubon there with a lefthanded hitter on deck? Dubon batting over .290 also.

It stings anytime you blow a big lead. Just gotta bounce back tomorrow and not let this loss send you into a tailspin. Severino needs to get it done. Who knows who the Astros will be pitching.

Howie on the radio say they would send Megill down for his 5 day rest period. The talk was Christian Scott would be called up.
They won't do that directly. They'll send Megill down and bring up a pen arm, then five days later send down a pen arm and bring up Scott.

You can't just send a starter down and just bring him back five days later. If you send a pitcher down, you can't bring him back for 15 days. For position players it is 10 days. An exception exists if you are replacing a player who just went on the IL.

At some point we're gonna have to get off the merry go-round of journeyman relievers and go get a proven quality arm for the pen. We don't even have a reliable 8th inning setup guy. Thing is that there are so many contenders and everyone will want the same thing. Maybe get out in front of some of those teams knowing g that we've now lost not 1 but 2 bullpen guys for the season.

The journeyman reliever du jour is Matt Festa. He will be rocking #73. You can look him up as well as I can.

But wait there's more...

Tyler Jay, who was somewhat of a feel good story earlier this year, is back. Danny Young and Tylor Megill to Syracuse.

Mets now have guys on the active roster wearing #72, 73, 74, and 75. Just one more way in which the game has changed over the years.

Just what I was fearful of. After a tough loss yesterday they look like they don't even want to be here so far today. No hits when the opponent is throwing a bullpen game.

The term is buzz kill
Building was jumping , big HR’s ,post game concert Friday night

6-7 hitters down 0-2 in the count got hits for Astros including go ahead hit
Blown 6-1 lead

Today’s crowd quite but there has been absolutely nothing to cheer about

JD Martinez simply can’t strike out bottom 10 no outs runner on 2nd. He did. The Mets only got one run, A pitcher I’ve never heard of gets lit up top 11, Mets bullpen blows the series. Too bad
