Never made sense to me that a hitter would swing at the first pitch but then bunt on the second in what is a pretty obvious bunt move the runner over scenario.
Rizzo ASSUMING the pitcher covers the bag, but he had everything in front of him so he could have easily seen what happened with Cole.
Charge the ball and you still have time to stop and field unassisted.
Defense has been a problem ALL year.
How does Judge not catch that fly ball with some momentum coming in to prevent the tag from 2nd to 3rd???

Regardless of whether or not the Yankees win the game or series, Boone has to go. There have been so many blunders this season by him and the players he has to be held accountable. They play shitty D, run the bases like idiots, swing at terrible pitches, etc. because Boone is such a pushover.
Dodgers are just so much more fundamentally sound in all phases of the game.
Blowing a 5-run lead in the biggest game of the season with 3 errors. That's the CASHMAN Yankees. But he knows his analytics. Launch angle and velocity are WAY more important than defense.

BTW...there was also no reason to pitch Weaver in game 3 when they were down 4-0. Only threw 6 pitches, but with the bullpen warmup before coming in...probably threw 30 pitches total.
You could see tonite that Weaver is worn out and was overused.

They gifted the Dodgers this game... aside from the double, the Dodgers didn't do anything special in the 5th inning. It should have been 5-0 going into the 6th. Later in the game, I'll give LA credit for the deep sac flies, but the rest was a case of playing like absolute crap for about 15 min. And it cost them the series.
I don’t think this Yankee lineup is remotely capable of two sacrifice flies in an inning.
You could EASILY pick out at least 10 manager decisions in this series and ask WTF was that move??

The yankees are the most fundamentally inept team I've ever seen.
None of the hustle down the base paths except for Juan Soto once when it's almost over. Where was that every at bat.
Judge dont know where the **** he was but not of baseball field, forget the dropped pop up. He jogged back on long fly ball to left center that should have been caught and then throws a wounded half ass throw to 3rd base on a midrange tag up from 2nd.
Not one of the outfielders get behind the ball to position for strong throw

Rizzo did not charge and hardly moved toward the bag after fielding it instead of desperately trying to beat Betts.
The entire post-season, Rizzo was like a statue at first base. Typically, from Boone, there was no accountability.
Last night, Boone repeated his game-one error by yanking Holmes too early and having Kahnle start the eighth.
The image of Boone spitting sunflower seeds while the Yankees burned is etched in my brain.
