We have a chocolate Lab named Coco, she is the absolute best. My word how they become part of your family.
She loves chasing birds, squirrels and of course cats.
sweetest dog ever, she'll tear you apart with her tongue.

Shaggy, a Cocker Spaniel. Very smart, knows about 300 words in 3 languages.

Had a chocolate lab named Hudson for 11 years. The most wonderful dog I or any of my friends and family ever knew. We'll never really get over his passing. But now we have a new yellow lab named Sam (actually Samwise Gamgee; my kids love Tolkien), who is such a sweet guy, and we look forward to many years with him. Asleep in his bed on the floor next to my bed as I type this. Labs rule.

Black Lab, Jem

My third Lab since college and by far the smartest and best companion any family could have.

Half Golden, Half Poodle, Dylan. She only weighs 22 pounds. She's a really good girl.

Hoboken (Hobo) over-sized male Pomeranian ( 15 years old) and Zorro (10) a male Miniature Pincher that is mine

Zorro adopted us. Was a stray that I seen in neighborhood and left food and water out in order to catch it and see if I could find owner.
Never left the other side of street until I walked in garage and door started coming down, no matter how I tried to coax it to come close .
I had a female Brazilian Terrier named Parsippany when feeding Zorro that had health problems .
Parsippany had a seizure one night and took her to emergency animal hospital, had to put her under on Vet's advice .
Next day put food and water out for Zorro and went into garage hit door close button , opened door to house and Zorro ran past me and made himself at home.
Took him to Vet and found out he had chip, Vet contacted chip register and they tried to contact owner on record but couldn't.
Had chip registration changed to my name and Zorro been with us the last 7 years and along with Hobo, own the house and demand their walks every day..

Shared the Zorro story because I think it's a funny story of an dog adopting a family ( me and wife) instead of the other way around.

Great story, Madhat !

I had a cat named Scarlet for 17 years who passed a couple years ago. Not a dog but thought I'd mention her due to the RU connection.

If you could spell, maybe people here would understand what you are trying to say.

This place makes me laugh, earlier today i posted a thread asking about amrecruit, zippo answers, but ask this blabbering group how they like their london broil, or what their dog breed is and people come out of the cracks.

Too much.

I wonder if there will be a thread on what type of dog school peoplemsend their dog to next?

Thank you mr. typo police, another typical answer here. I had 2 spaces filled by a letter because I was using a mobile. Glad to see how smart your dog is. Have you really counted or written down the 300 words it knows? Honestly a thread on the 300 words it knows would be fascinating. I doubt it is really 300.

I have a Carolina Dog named Dexter. Also known as an American Dingo, his mother was captured near the Savannah River in South Carolina when she was pregnant with his litter & he & his 3 brothers were rescued from the kill shelter down there.

Jameson. Lab / Pointer Mix. We rescued him at 9 Weeks 13 Pounds thinking he would be a moderate adult size at 60 or so pounds. At 15 Months he is already a 90 Pound ball of energy LOL.

I have yellow lab named Chase and a shepherd/akita mix named Hunter. Daughter's a Phillies fan so you can see where the names came from. Hunter Pence was a Phillie at the time we got her. Both are rescues. We were told Chase was roaming the streets of Camden. Hunter came from NC and was going to be destroyed.

2 rescue dogs.
A Golden Retriever named Ralph and a Yorkie named Alice. When we adopted the Yorkie, her name at the SPCA was Wilma. We decided not to change Ralphie to Fred and went with Alice. Its amazing how much they act like The Honeymooners.

I have an 11 year old Lhasa Apso named Buttons II. He is spoiled rotten.

Greyhound, P'nutbutter. Red fawn in color. About 75 pounds. He came off the track from Dairyland in Kenosha Wi after he fractured a hock. Got him when we lived in Madison. If this dog got any more laid back he would forget to breath. Greyhounds will sleep up to 18 hours a day. Thirty-five mile an hour couch potato. He's the third Greyhound we have had. The other two came off tracks in WV when we lived in VA.

Border Collie Lab mix named Blitz. Rescued from a kill shelter in S.C. These organizations who rescue these dogs do great work.

18 lb. Havanese--Moose. He's a party animal. Loves tailgates, fraternity and sorority parties and has attended many. The bitches, they love him.

Give me a break. Nobody's dumb enough to create a thread like that.

Tina- Golden Retriever / Chow Mix Katrina Puppy rescue . We are also fostering Polar Bear a Cocker Spaniel mix 8 lb of sweetness. He is going to his forever home on Wed. Got Tina from Castle of Dreams who I volunteer for.

Also a Shelter Mutt out of Newark. She absolutely picked up instead of the other way around.

Hound/Pitt Mix Named Calliope. As I started typing this she moved over from her bed to join me on the couch knowing I was discussing her. She's basically a 60 lb baby...not a bad bone in her but her bark might scare a few people away.
