OT-Darius Hamilton on the New Staff

I will be thrilled when he put a beat down on Washington . Until then we are just plugging away on the message board.

Oh don't get me wrong, not for one second, there is a HUGE difference - IMHO - between a complete shift in attitude, et al, and what he may/may not be able to do with the talent level of the roster that Flood left behind. I'm going with "4-8" in 2016 and have been all along. Too much work to be done for things to change overnight so no great expectations from this guy. Just want to see the right things on, and off the field, for now.

The articles on Coach Parker and Coach Ash today make me think these two really get it. They understand how to motivate players and how to get the most out of them.

It can only be a positive for our head coach to quickly get the team leaders on board and to get them pulling just as hard in the right direction as the coaches are.

Whether Coach Flood was poor, adequate, or good is not relevant to me. I personally am looking something special, an Urban Meyer type of coach who can motivate and coach this team to the upper echelons of college football.

The information we have gotten today on these two coaches gives me reason to hope we might have found them.

I love the "Loaf" board. You want everyone on board, and you need to use every method possible to motivate the 'would be" slackers.

Look, I agree with you that it's all BS until we see changes on the field. I'm cautiously optimistic and while I enjoy articles such as the one linked above, I don't place much stock in them.

However, and this is the important bit of this post, I don't visit threads like this one and shit all over other people's excitement about how things are going. It's one of those things where allowing people to feel good about something is more important to me than being "right" or "realistic" or whatever else you might call it.

Still, it's a free country and a pretty open forum and your opinion matters. So if it's more important to you to voice your skepticism about the situation than it is to allow others to feel excited and happy, then carry on.
