OT: Extremely emotional parents at Marlboro BOE meeting.

It's not false.

Unless you think problem kids in school is only a recent issue that just cropped up in the last 6-7 years.

Of course it didn't. And school districts have struggled for years and years figuring out how to deal with kids that have all kinds of issues and poor behaviors. And not just poor districts or inner city districts (granted they have more than their fair share, for sure). This is a problem that affects wealthy districts, conservative districts, etc.

Schools always had problems schools but there used to be REFORM schools where they could send the problem kids. Liberals got the reform schools closed. Now the problem kids stay in the schools and the good kids have to find a charter. Liberal logic.

In 1950 when Republicans ran Philly the city had 2.1 million residents. There were 42 public high schools, 0 full time school cops and at least ONE reform school . Now Philly has 1.6 million residents, 100+ high schools, 650 fulltime school cops, 20,000 reported crimes and ZERO reform schools.

Where do schools send the problem kids?

“The New Jersey Training School at Jamesburg is one of the oldest, most antiquated youth prisons in the nation and the time has come to close its gates for the last time,” Christie said in the news release.
