No more bench mob to say the least. I attend many Monmouth games and Rice doesn't coach. He's sort of like from the Eddie Jordan School of Coaching in the sense he just lets the 5 kids on the floor do whatever they want without much tutoring or discipline when they play erratic or out of control. There s a kid on the team ray salnave who Jordan recruited and the kid is a chuck machine and rice does nothing to haul him in. Also rice's son went to another school to play basketball granted I believe a much better academic school. There's something off with King Rice and given the lack of success as of late one wonders how much longer he has at Monmouth. As someone posted above, team is young but there's really only 1 decent player on the team - deon Hammond. For Rice' s standpoint the only games that really matter is the Maac tourney so his attitude may be let my kids take their lumps and we ll be better for it in the long run. Rice had his chance for 2 years when Justin Robinson dominated the maac and couldn't get it done. Further the star player that he was Counting on this year left early for the draft in an amazingly non logical move. And he was also hurt for basically all of last year. He was a good player and would have made a difference for Monmouth this year
