Agree. The Knicks' lack of depth will catch up with them. The question is: when do the Knicks start to stagger? As this series progresses, or the next series?Pacers depth and style of play are going to be a problem. They don't have the high end players the Sixers did but their roster 1-10 may be better. Nova Knicks account for 92 points

Mitch def not as active as Philly series pre injury means more minutes for Precious, not good. They have a lot of options, Knicks do not. Think it will be 6 or 7 for sure.Need a bench
Deuce was not loose
Precious was not
Mitch was ok-ish
They really should have wonJust keep grinding. If I am Indiana I am sick tonight. They should have won. They had so many things go right for them and couldn’t close.
Like any team its about the match ups and combinations on the floor at any given time. Myles Turner is not a good match up for Mitch. He did not look to be moving very well last night either. Isiah Jackson looked like a live body for the Pacer as well and we know Obi can get up and down the floor. Mitch is doing the best he can but he is so limited offensively and this style of play limits his opportunities make an impact on the defensive end.Injuries have killed the rotation depth. Knicks would have a 9 man rotation with Randle and Bogs. The only other real rotation options beyond the core 7 are Precious, Burks, Milton and Sims.
I guess TT could play Precious more and Burks a bit, but Precious has been spotty in the playoffs and when Burks played during the season he looked cooked. Milton and Sims seem more like emergency/injury replacement players.
It's not so much the players he trust. It's more about age. Unless you're a 1st round pick, he's not going to play you. Achiuwa and Sims have play important minutes when when Robinson and OG were out. Their play was superb and TT said it too. Knicks have trouble winning game 5 against Philly without OG and Achiuwa down the final stretch. I think Achiuwa could spell Hart or OG, so they are not playing 40 plus minutes every game. The four guard lineup will catch up to the Knicks eventually.TT only plays the players he trusts. The guys playing are the only ones he trusts.
They didn't say a word about Embiid's dirty play through out that series. It is flat out bias.So silly that all the national media talk is on the screen foul call. It was a great back and forth game. Each time had chances to win or lose. Who is to say that Indiana make the shot anyway if no foul called. And who is to say Brunson doesn’t hit a game winner after Indiana makes a potential shot. Knicks had a TO and could have had ball at half court.
Knicks won. Deal with it.
I have been surprised as well by the focus on the illegal screen call. Even as a Knick fan I thought it was a very marginal call and have seen many worse infractions not called both in the regular season and the playoffs. But they did review it and allowed it to stand. They didn't say a word about Embiid's dirty play through out that series. It is flat out bias.
The one thing I've noticed about the Pacers is that their adjustments from the regular season to the playoffs haven't changed much. They still rely on outscoring their opponents. That's a problem when you run up against a team that plays some serious defense, like the Knicks or Boston. The Paceers HC is the same idiot who thought Brunson wasn't any good even after carrying Dallas during one playoff run.I have been surprised as well by the focus on the illegal screen call. The kicked ball was a bad break for them but the answer is not to make those played reviewable going forward. Already too many reviews breaking up the pace of the game.
While I expect thibs to make adjustments to reduce the turnovers, improve inbound situations, limit the transition leak outs and easy buckets off busted rotations, I gained a healthy respect for the Pacers last night. They let one slip last night and it was not due to the rough calls at the end.
All I'm going to say is Houston. The Knicks have been on the other side of those calls. The quality of officiating is the problem. The phantom kicked ball call was so big with under a minute left, and DiVincenzo hitting the three immediately after. Did they even replay it to show what a bad call it was??
The Dallas front office thought the same thing. That is so not true even if the most disgruntled Nets fan on the planet wishes it was so. BTW - Ben Simmons looked smashing with his clock purse at the Met Gala the other night.so how will the refs give it to the Knicks tonight?
still think Pacers will eventually wear down the Knicks...
Brunson has to play out of his mind for the Knicks just to barely win...
Knick fans act like they win the national title with each win...
Me as well. It sucks, because right after the OG trade the Knicks were playing as well as anyone and I thought they really had a chance to be a legitimate title contender. Just not enough depth now.I'm a Knick fan and bad feeling about tonight
The Knicks had depth. Injuries is the reason the Knicks have issues with depth. The Knicks would likely play 9 guys for the playoffs, which is unusual for a playoff rotation. Robinson just went down. Randle been out since early February and Bogdanovic went down a week ago. I think Thibs doesn't give enough respect to Achiuwa. As much as I don't want Burkes on the court, maybe 10 minutes would give other guys a breakMe as well. Knicks are a fraud. A regular season team. Will lose to either Miami or Philly. And injuries won’t be an excuse.
Well, Precious is a definite at this point and you probably need to take Sims out of mothballs too. May need Burks too. The Bogdanovich injury definitely hurt. He looked like he was figuring things out and getting comfortable. Would've been great to have that offense off the bench in spurts. The Knicks had depth. Indiana seems to be good fit for Precious with their speed and front court athleticism. Obi plays at five sometimes also. Not the worse thing when he has to switch. Obviously not same rim protector as Mitchell. Burks will have to give a blow at the three at some point.Precious gonna get many more playoff minutes starting tonight. I think we will end up seeing either Burks or Milton in this series as well.
The Pacers' offense is a motion offense. The defense is constantly moving, which running down their opponents. They will fast real when the opportunity presents itself.Well, Precious is a definite at this point and you probably need to take Sims out of mothballs too. May need Burks too. I have to say though, the atmosphere in there for these games is so incredible that just once you need to bite the bullet. Did it for Heat vs. Knicks (the famous Van Gundy hanging onto Zo’s leg game) and never regretted it. Now don’t ask me about the Patrick finger roll game vs. the Pacers. 😁I was looking into going to the game this evening but the prices on line are just really high. The fees on each ticket are over $100 in many cases bring the total cost for two seats in the 200 section to about $900. They dropped a bit as we got closer for game 1 but not budging much yet for this evening. Will keep an eye out for another hour or so but not optimistic. You could drive to Indiana and go to games 3 and 4 for less.
Not true. The Knicks hired his dad and then tampered. This was before the big playoff run.The Dallas front office thought the same thing. Not one of Mr. Shark Tank's better moments.
