OT: More over rated: Ronda Rousay or Jabrill Peppers?

They are both very pretty when operating in their chosen arenas.

I'm not sure how overrated Jabril is - he's just an arrogant jerk. Rousey was dominating a sport/division that was still in its infancy stages. She does have some amazing strengths, but needs to improve her weaknesses and be smarter about how she fights - that didn't happen yesterday. She also seemed to personify the old Mike Tyson adage 'Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face!' On top of everything else I think Rousey is psychologically dead in the water - don't think she will ever recover.

In answer to your question it is definitely Rousey - a year ago people were seriously entertaining the idea that she could beat Mayweather.

Jabrill Peppers has 1 more college career interception than you and I. That's just 1 of a handful other stats that proves he's overrated. But hey some team will draft him in the 2nd round and he will be a heck of a special teams player [roll]

She has won a professional championship and held it for a decent time. Yes the sport has figured her out and moved past her. But she was a champion. He is a cross between the boz and Deion Sanders. Time will tell which one he more resembles. For now he is more over rated, as no one rates her highly after last night.

are INTs now the preferred statistical measure for LBs entering the draft? If so, going to be a pretty weak draft class at the position.

Don't know who is more over-hyped but Rousey can definitely take Jabril.

I was impressed with Levy last night.
Takes a pro to comment on the game while simultaneously performing fellatio on Peppers.

I knew this was going to happen. When he was recruited out of high school as a CB, he had the perfect size for a NFL cornerback. After 2 years, Pepper is too big and a little slower with his added weight and now is being switched to LB. Pepper may be a good LB in another year since he actually too light for LB right now.

The recruiting services don't take into account the changes in the body for a17-18 year and that why the recruits don't perform as rated sometimes. I remember Michigan taking 2 4 stars LB from NJ that didn't perform because they were 235-240 as a junior in high school. Add 10-14 pounds after 2 years and they are too slow to play LB.

He is a marketing genius. Whether we like it or not he will be a pretty damned good pro.

He's done nothing in college to say he'll be a good pro.

Is he a great safety? There are dozens with better stats there?

Is he a great lb? He's 210 pounds, won't last in the NFL

Is he a great running back? He doesn't even start in college

Not a "hater" but there's literally nothing to project greatness other than the media's obsession

Pepper will make it to the NFL but he won't be a superstar like McCourty.

Pepper would have done better at Rutgers because players under Schiano would actually lose weight after 4 years at Rutgers and he would still be perfect at the CB position playing at 185-195 pounds. Lol

The only rating that matters to Peppers will be his NFL Draft pick. Right now most of the projections are low first to mid 2nd.
He'll still cash in nicely.

Rousey has actually achieved success in the Olympics and UFC. Peppers has achieved, what? Being an average football player that the Michigan hype machine turned into a Heisman contender?

Maybe. I mean the last LB invited to the Heisman has 7 his senior year. If you want me to share the other below average stats I can, I have spare time.

Her coaching camp sux. They never adjusted her fighting style and she never commited to her kicks. She deserved to get her ass kiced.

I agree he simply doesn't excel at one position. He does a lot of things well, but NFL players compete at a great level at one position. This isn't the decathlon where doing a lot of things well gets you the gold. He's a man without a home in the NFL.

I'm so glad Rousey got her face smashed in again. The media hype machine may finally give up on her. We can only pray!
RHonda would be much easier to take if she wasn't an arrogant ass.
Try touching gloves it's the respect of the sport
After match touch gloves it's the respect if the sport
She has no respect for the sport thus why it's nice to see her face bloodied and busted up while standing there eating crow

Living abroad I used to still follow espn for sport news. I decided to quit back when the love fest with Rousey was getting out of hand and her mannish mug was front page every day. I dislike when the media tries to force down our throats who they think should have superstar status. In the age of PC and grrrl power, Rousey was their wet dream. Watching masculine women beat on each other is great entertainment? She could take the best male boxer in the world? Huh? I couldn't believe otherwise intelligent and rational people bought the "a women can be physically equal to a man in a fight" argument. Rousey is vying for the title of PC culture woman of the decade. OVERRATED

I have to go with Rousey, the hype always made me laugh. Good fighter, no doubt about it, they just took it way to far. Made out to be this super fighter even though she was obviously one dimensional. On the other hand, Cyborg is a disgusting version of a woman fighter. It sucks that she gets to compete with other women. Ok, I'm taking this way to serious, haha.

Rousey would plow a hole so big in your ass, Pepper's head would fit in it

Rousey is more overrated. Peppers can at least do more than one thing.
Are you sure about that? Both spend a lot of time on their knees getting smoke blown up their *ss. Otherwise, I still haven't seen anything else from Peppers.:flush:

Btw, I'm OK with being the one blowing the smoke up Rousey's *ss[roll]

A fair point.

His draft stock is better than the two of you are alluding to, for better or worse.

Cali He IS a marketing genius..Did he deserve to be in the final 5 for the Heisman event.?Nope. But he was there wasn't he? . And he will do the same in the pros. Watch him white boy!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Peppers had a good name. You don't forget anyone you meet/hear about named "Peppers". If his name was Smith, Jones or Johnson he would have been another dude in pads.

Rousey was just the latest "battle chick" that's been plaguing the culture since Xena. The hype comes easy but so does the bust.
