A Killers vibe. That feeback intro to the song fooled me into thinking it would be heavier. Good song.
Surprised nobody posted this great new indie/R&B - yeah it's both, although it got its start on indie rock channels but has since exploded everywhere - song Bad Habit by Steve Lacy. Liked it immediately the first time I heard it on Josiah's Download 15 new music show on SiriusXMU a couple of months ago. It reached #2 and as per the wiki page it also became the first song to ever top the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot R&B Songs and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs charts simultaneously.

Don't love what I've heard on the new album so far, but an amazing live band. Saw them in the mid 80s with Fishbone back in the socks on cocks days and then saw them about 34 years later at a festival at Citi Field and they still brought that incredible energy and a few more hit songs lol.
You sbould give it a listen again. Easily their best output in some time. These are the ways is a sonic wall of Chad Smith and Frusciante.

The first APC release is among the best albums of all time.
I have not listened to A Perfect Circle closely. But from what I have listened to, I may agree. Puscifer is an acquired taste. During the pandemic, they did a couple of live performances that were pay per view. We watched one performance, and it was very different. Tool is obviously the most accessible and commercially successful of his three bands, but they all have their merits.
That interview was conducted in Maynard James Keenan's restaurant in Cottonwood, AZ, Merkin Vinyards Osteria. Fantastic food, and while I don't eat gnocchi often, the gnocchi is fabulous.
I think A Perfect Circle is the more accessible band vs Tool. Melodies are simpler and structures are more straightforward. Tool is something that needs marination and dissection to really appreciate.
For the song Aenima alone, Tool rules. Lyrics are fantastic and prophetic.
He’s been on JRE four times. I’m captivated each time.
All of the songs on Lateralus and Fear Inoculum are amazing lyrically.
Demolition 23 is putting out a remastered LP of their original 1994 album with 3 new tracks. Coming out mid October.

I can't get enough of the eight-minute Welcome Back. The guitar work on that tune reminds me of his work on the soundtrack to the Jim Jarmusch movie Dead Man back in the day.

There's nothing wrong with Imagine Dragons. I'm open-minded enough to recognize them as talented and popular, while not my cup of tea. Kind of like The Killers.
