This is very much a true statement, in general. But, even if you are the teller of a joke, you have a lifetime pass to decide if it's funny if you also find this joke funny:I have no dog in this fight, and have no idea what you're referring to. But I do know this. The teller of a joke is not the one who gets to decide whether it's funny.
100%Yeah Marte loss officially ended the season - win 1+ more games easily with him in the lineup and win the East.
Maybe pull a Twinkie on a string between 1st and 2nd when he’s on 1st and a grounder is hit too. There is no excuse for him to be so obese.Nimmo
Marte
Lindor
Alonso
McNeil Pretty damn good top 5 of lineup !!
Canha solid season a little more power is needed if he’s not going to be a 285+ hitter
Escobar. I’ll take second half EE. He led league in LOB at the start of the year and really struggled to get going until August
Catcher. Hard to be worse than first 2/3 of season. Zero power and all 3 guys around 190-215 💩💩💩
second half Nido and a maturing Alvarez should be an offensive upgrade in the 9 spot.
DH ???? Horrible all year
Guillorme rotates and gives muitple players days off. As Alvarez gets more comfortable at the plate he can give Nido more frequent days off.
No idea what Mets have in Vientos and Baty. outside of a few good swings the other 60 combined at bats showed nothing.
Forgot Vogelbach. I’d just tell him after every second backwards K you will be benched for 2 games.
Coming from the guy that just made the lightbulb joke LOL clownI have no dog in this fight, and have no idea what you're referring to. But I do know this. The teller of a joke is not the one who gets to decide whether it's funny.
Then why would you even mention getting there. Bc thats all you have dumbass. Maybe theyll have half a ticker tape parade just for you next time mutts get thereReading comprehension issues? Where did I say it was the goal? I said the complete opposite, I said getting wasn't the goal. reread it, talk about flipping something to make it fit, Can't fix stupid I guess.
I stand by my earlier post. I did not know if my joke was funny when I told it. The likes that I received suggest that it was.Coming from the guy that just made the lightbulb joke LOL clown
I mentioned to show you what a complete failure the Yankees have beenThen why would you even mention getting there. Bc thats all you have dumbass. Maybe theyll have half a ticker tape parade just for you next time mutts get there
Now get back to watching cartoons with your grandkids
We don't claim to be The Varsity, you do. We don't claim to be the best thing since sliced bread, you do. Keep living in the past when you won before you were born, before divisions, before WC games, you know, before multi levels of playoffs. Oh, let's not forget,7 decades before the Mets existed.Failure would be making the playoffs abt 10 times in 60 years. Get a clue
Better reread your post, your the one crying that the yankees are failures which would indicate you think the mutts are the "varsity". Unless your thinking the mutts are the bigger failures lol.We don't claim to be The Varsity, you do. We don't claim to be the best thing since sliced bread, you do. You won the thread!Failure would be making the playoffs abt 10 times in 60 years. Get a clue
On that note, yesterday01 and 2008, I bid you adieu. LGY😭You won the thread!
You should actually see how they react on the Yankee thread even if you aren't trolling.By the way, I don't blame the Yankee fans on here. If that were my kind of thing, I'd be on here ragging you guys because you are so easy to instigate. Try not giving a sh#t. The problem would go away. In the meantime, I'm almost rooting for these guys as you take the bait every time.
Still would love another big bat.So- back to the Met's off season...if we get Senga, do you guys feel we are mostly done outside of a couple of BP arms for the off season or do you see us trying to make a trade as well? Would love to find a way to move McCann and live the year with Nido and Alvarez.
I wouldn't just give away McCann, as I feel he has value. I haven't given up on him yet.So- back to the Met's off season...if we get Senga, do you guys feel we are mostly done outside of a couple of BP arms for the off season or do you see us trying to make a trade as well? He has Cano written all over him. The 2nd half of a long contract with Judge will be a killer. Big, muscular guys don't age well in baseball. You won the thread!
Holy crap. Worst contract of the offseason so far. Even worse than San Diego! worst than Judge's?lmfao.

Screw it sign Correa for him to play 3B. Sign Senga. Sign another 2 pen arms. Trade McCann and Ruf. Sign Kiermaier.So- back to the Met's off season...if we get Senga, do you guys feel we are mostly done outside of a couple of BP arms for the off season or do you see us trying to make a trade as well? I’m not as high on Correa as a lot of people are. Dude seems to be injured all the time.Screw it sign Correa for him to play 3B. Sign Senga. Sign another 2 pen arms. Trade McCann and Ruf. Sign Kiermaier.
1986 was soooo long ago.We don't claim to be The Varsity, you do. We don't claim to be the best thing since sliced bread, you do. He is better and younger but has really only been able to have 2/3 healthy years.Correa is light years better than Escobar. I don't really think we'll go that crazy. I'm good with Esco/Baty.
Mets could in theory go to war with the pitchers they've got under contract, although I doubt they will.Current '23 view:
1) Nimmo - CF
2) Marte - RF
3) Lindor - SS
4) Alonso - 1B
5) McNeil - 2B
6) Canha - LF
7) Escobar - 3B
8) Alvarez - C
9) Vogelbach - DH (Sigh)
Bench: Baty, Nido, Vientos, Guillorme (McCann/Ruf hopefully both gone)
SP1) Verlander
SP2) Scherzer
SP3) X (*Senga PLEASE)
SP4) Quintana
SP5) Cookie
RP1) Diaz
RP2) Robertson
RP3) Smith
RP4) Raley
RP5) McGill?
RP6) Peterson?
RP7) Lucchesi?
RP8) ?
move McCann and Ruf; sign Andrew McCutcheon as rotational backup OF/DH and Jackie Bradley Jr perhaps as a defensive backup, both would probably be cheap 1 yr deals I would think since they've severely declined from their previous star statuses but might be nice contributors on a WS run. Hopefully can get Ottavino back since unfortunately Lugo is likely a goner with teams wanting him as a starter. Get one more starting quality pitcher (since Trevor Williams is gone, and Lugo probably as well) that can double as a long reliever and 6th starter since we have two 40 year olds as our aces.So- back to the Met's off season...if we get Senga, do you guys feel we are mostly done outside of a couple of BP arms for the off season or do you see us trying to make a trade as well? I wouldn’t even shy away from a 1 year Conforto contract either. And Ruf really needs to be felt. Even if for a bag of balls.move McCann and Ruf; sign Andrew McCutcheon as rotational backup OF/DH and Jackie Bradley Jr perhaps as a defensive backup, both would probably be cheap 1 yr deals I would think since they've severely declined from their previous star statuses but might be nice contributors on a WS run. There's been talk about the Padres approaching him as a LF/DH.I would more than welcome Conforto back, but I'm pretty sure he's going to get a shot with a team where he can be an everyday player.
Between giving the guys in the corner OF spots a breather and having Vogey and Ruf sitting their fat asses on the bench - Conforto could pretty much get 120 or so games in starting. And if Canha starts slow and MC hot- then he stays in LFI would more than welcome Conforto back, but I'm pretty sure he's going to get a shot with a team where he can be an everyday player.
So was the last time you made an intelligent post. I understand its your low self esteem that attracts you to the Yanks and keeps you coming back to this thread to feel better about yourself. I gave you a whole page of analysis on this a couple of years ago and you seemed to be doing better. Apparently you have relapsed. Please get help.1986 was soooo long ago.
Love this, he really is clueless. Keeps saying how could the Mets let the best pitcher in baseball leave for Texas. I guess he doesn't watch enough baseball to realize deGrom hasn't been healthy in 3 years, lolSo was the last time you made an intelligent post.
