OT: New York Yankees 2020 season

Looking at Judge’s minor league stats it does not appear he lost a lot of time due to injury. What changed?

Well some was being too aggressive in the field but to be fair he was hit a few times that caused injuries.

They have to be REALLY careful about signing him to a long term contract. I love him, but if he's going to be hurt half the time I'm not sure they will re-sign him for the years he'll ask for. They can't be paying off both Judge and Stanton for 10+ years and get half the production from each of them.

He's made of glass. I've never seen a player so big and solid looking be so soft.
Your hatred of the Yankees is noted. I guess deGrom is soft too. And he doesn't crash into walls, dives for balls or get hit by bad pitches. He is so weak. A Friggen blister on his finger. No broken bones and he can't stand up like a real man and step on the mound. Talk about soft!

Can't sign Judge to a long-term contract until he proves he can be healthy for an entire season. No way.

2X Cy Young Winner, yup, Judge should be that weak. Brilliant statement. Didn't you just call him soft? LMFAO

They can't sign Sanchez either. Trade him in the off season the second they sign Realmuto
+1
I'm pretty much done with the Sanchez experience. Way too feast or famine and the famine normally comes at the end of the season and during the playoffs.

Gleyber 4 for 4 tonight, Tauchman with 3 hits, Frazier with a 2 run double, even Sanchez hit a homer. I just can't believe how bad the Red Sox are. Everyone knew there would be a dropoff, but this? They're the worst team in the AL. Only Pittsburgh is further behind in any division.

He doesn't win games but posts fantasy numbers. He is softer then a feather pillow.

Cole 20 straight wins! What is deGrom longest winning streak?

I have to be assuming that a Met's fan came in and talked down about Judge and the Yankees as your posts here are either reflective of that or you have just lost your baseball mind. lol
Under your wins pretense, you would take German as well as Porcello over deGrom, much less consider him one of the top 2 or handful of pitchers in the league. And if that is the case- any further baseball talk from you should be taken no different than Al comparing Rutgers to USC east.
deGrom soft? Compared to who? no less than 31 starts any of the last 3 years. And something like more than half his career starts he has given up 2 or less runs.

I actually love Judge and can't wait to see him have another full season, the league needs a guy like him. But damn man, guy breaks down way too easy.

Yes. Calling Judge soft is just mind boggling so I was just throwing back the same stupid logic that @ruready4somefootball was trying to spin. You can be a Mets fan or simply a Yankees hater but it's stupid to just come on here to troll.

Whew...had me worried. And saying "soft" is the wrong term, but it would be fair to call Judge fragile up to this point in his career.

Anyway looking forward to tonight's game. Paxton on the mound. Looked much better in his last start and velocity was up. Corrected some mechanical issue. A change in the pitching staff seems to be an improvement too. So let's see of he can get on a roll.

I'd say reckless is the better term. Besides the two stints being drilled by a pitch his others have been primarily crashing into the wall or diving for a ball. Also the Yankees sat him down this time as a precaution. He could have played DH for a few games. Yanks know they need him more down the stretch and in the playoffs.

I get it...But maybe he needs to realize that being so reckless is not goot for the team in the long run. He has a very large body and there are times he needs to play that way. He would still be a very good RF with a cannon but you would have him on the field more.

He has 23 wins since the end of the 2017 season. Most wins in the last two years is 11. Cole just got his 20th STRAIGHT win. What the hell are you talking about??
You were talking about deGromme. What did was Coke have to do with it? There are plenty on Mets to criticize; deGrome is not one of them.

“That remains to be seen, at least I won't have to wait 162 games to see them soil the mattress.:). The Mets will be fine, remember in a short series,or now a short season, pitching rules!!!”

Mutts fan gold! Bryce Harper says Hi.

Tell that to the Mets fan clown. The one Yankee you can't call out is Judge. He literly has become the face of baseball this year.

What changed is he isn't swinging at everything. He has completely changed his approach. Rarely swings at a ball out of the strike zone. Swing at strikes equals more solid hits and home runs.

I probably didn't explain it well. When Judge was in the Minors he was hitting a HR once every 27 times up, As a Major Leaguer he's hitting a HR every 12 times up, thats a hell of a difference. His batting average is almost identical as minor league vs major leaguer. Strike outs per AB up a bit when in the majors (a strike out every 2.6 times up vs 4 in the majors)

The prolific jump in HRs per at bat is what is glaring to me.

This face?
