Andujar... I've seen better defensive play in beer league softball. How difficult is it to understand which way a ball off the bat of a left handed batter is going?

I;m willing to be patient with Miggie. He's never played outfield. Yes the play should have been an easy out, but that comes with experience he doesn't have yet. Definitely not an easy transition, but the kid works hard and his bat is really good. They're not going to just throw him behind the woodshed and forget about him. Would I be totally shocked if he got traded to a team that needed a 3rd baseman for a good return? No. But if he's going to have any value whatsoever, he has to play in the bigs and has to get seasoning. Gleyber was a hot mess tonight at short and they still won. These are the games you play these guys in, and you have to be patient with your players.
Yanks lead the league and just swept 4 games from the Sox while having replacement players at 3 key positions, closer out all season until last night, #3 starter out for a portion of the season, #2 starter out for the year.
Is there anything you can do besides post complaint after complaint? ......asking for a friend.
At the major league level- not really as easy as it looks. Give him some time.
From SS- yeah- he should be able to do it. Bad year for him and GiGi would have been great to have here
This...the injuries may add up in a week or two but seems that Yanks may have enough of a lead at that point to ride it until playoffs
Time to move forward from DiDi. This is baseball and the hyper-focus on every play, swing, throw, pitch is just silliness. DiDi made errors when here as well and he also was injured for a majority of last year with the Torres having to fill his shoes.
Regarding the injuries - my point exactly. The constant complaining as a team keeps winning in spite of the adversity seems like overkill.
Move forward ? I still haven't gotten over the Yankees trading of Jay Buhner. :Shocked
It's the NYY. Mgmt knew after last year that Andujar wasn't playing 3B again in NY. Knowing how the ball comes off the bat is taught to a 12 year old.
Unfortunately, the Yankees are still a team with too many DH type players. If they resign DLM in the off season, they're going to have to figure out a place for Gleyber. He's garbage at SS and that makes me sad.
This team is good enough to get to the WS without the best record in the AL. And without fans... likely good enough to win the WS without the best record.
Britton to the IL, Paxton getting an MRI on his sore elbow, and Gleyber hurt himself running to first today. We can't afford to lose him. While Wade is a good defender and has impressive wheels, the kid hasn't shown he can hit in the bigs at all.
Not sure if we're seeing the early stages of Britton being overused early on, but those ineffective outings by the middle relievers(Holder/etc) might be catching up with ZB.
I don't know if mgmt is being extra careful with guys because of contracts, or if these players are all just big pussies.

Based off of Judge's quotes on his trip to the IL it's the Yankees being ultra cautious. It might be a plan. Get these players some rest. Yes it's just 60 games but not a lot of days off and many doubleheaders. Agree that Britton has been overused.
I stopped reading / posting in that thread because the guy you were having a discussion with thinks he's fair but is deep down a Yankee hater and it comes through with his backhanded comments. The other fan there is an idiot who prefers a Yanks loss over a Mets win. They just want to complain about their team and that's fine.
I put them both on ignore. It's fun to bust chops at times but when you can't have an intelligent conversation at any point and realize you are arguing with people that don't understand baseball and the business of baseball at all, it's time to cut the cord.
So its OK for one side to bust chops but not ok when people throws it back at them? Kinda goes both ways when the usual answer to someone who tries to have a legit convo is either YOU SUCK or 27 RINGS.

No- but you feel free to go over and call posters names because they don't agree with you. And to clarify, I have said many times that I really like Judge and really want to see what he does over a full season again. But he is your face of baseball because he is a Yankee. Yes, everyone knows who he is and you never want to miss an AB. The same could have been said about Strawberry when he came up. But that face gets old outseide of NY when a guy can't play a full season.

I do agree that I wouldnt trade Judge for anyone not named Trout but that is only on potential. But if he goes another year with less than 120 games played, you guys may not even offer him a big contract.

I have. Respectfully. I don't trash the Mets and I only ever post there if I have something relevant to add. Seriously, start a different thread where you guys on both sides can fight each other. Don't subject the rest of the Yankees and Mets fans to this.
It sucks that the Yankees lost games vs the Phillies for false tests. And now vs the Mets and I'm guessing that the 2nd round of test came in positive by cancelling the weekend. No Yankee baseball till next week. Positive tests can happen to any team. It doesn't take much but I hope that it wasn't being stupid/selfish.
I have to agree czx has been pretty decent in the Met's thread. normal ball busting at times but more like what you would do with fans of others teams, that join your tailgate and you all walk away friends and having a few more beers together after.
