Management needs to smartly overhaul the defense, as we don't have anyone right now worthy of being a top pair. It is here Fitz deserves some blame. Hamilton is a power play specialist, who got beat out of the 1st unit by rookie Luke Hughes. Seiganthaler is making too much 💰, as it looks like he cashed in on a career year.
Trades hopefully will be made. We can free up 15 million if we can find trades for Palat and Hamilton. Palat played well today, but is usually invisible. We need defensemen who actually can play defense, Dougie should be traded, both goals today we're his fault!
Now I'm not someone who likes to fire people, but this group of individuals, ( they never play like a team) has clearly toned out Lindy Ruff! They had a closed door meeting before today's game, and responded by playing the way they did in the first 10 minutes of the 1st. Forget Lindy, these guys aren't respecting the game. You can't fire all of them, so coaching changes must be made. I joked the other day about what it would take for Lindy to scratch Smith. Well LOL now he is a 4th liner. This in and of itself should cost Lindy his job.
This team is showing questionable makeup. Except for a couple of players, where the hell was the forecheck? Can't defend, don't forecheck, and never stick up for teammates, a losing composition. What happened to Dawson Mercer, and why are some players never scratched?
This team lacks desire and plays like they don't care. It is because they are playing for the name on the back, not the logo in front. This is why such a talented team is careening toward the basement!

Ruff can’t scratch guys with Nico, Timo and Nosek out injured. Lazar left the game today injured too.
The team is too weak physically and it’s not a tight knit group
He has moves he refuses to make. He did sit Timo, Bratt, and Marino but refuses to do anything to Hamilton, Mercer, or his boy Smith. I don't know, maybe there is infighting because of Lindy's lack of consistency. At this point that's my theory. This is not a team, it is a group of individuals.
Devils fan's know it is the best TEAM that WINS. With the possible exception of '00, were the Devils the most talented team in the NHL that year? I like many people say no. They were the best TEAM and sacrificed personal success and money to WIN!
The lack of physical play is maddening. From Timo to Toffoli this team shouldn't play soft. Hell Dougie is 6 6 230. Give us a break.
They’ve given up the first goal in 15 of the first 18 games this year. When BUF goes up 1-0 tonight, you’ll be able to cut the tension in that building with a knife. Every turnover, bad pass, and wide shot will be amplified.
Wow where has this team been? First it's great to have Nico back! We are only a third done, but the Devils lead 4-0. This team even had a forecheck consistently in the first. It seems like the Columbus loss stirred some pride. I hope they don't revert back, for this is how this team should look.
