OT: Post different types of beer you've tried, and how it was.

Kane 2992 is excellent (not as good as last year's 2557, as I preferred the chocolate flavor more in that)... chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, maple french toast...

Since our Fifth Anniversary, we started releasing a second unique blend to help commemorate the occasion. This year the second bottle is 2922, a blend of hand selected barrel-aged imperial stouts and porters that were individually chosen from our stock of over 200 spirit barrels. The blend was aged in stainless and then conditioned on Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans and cinnamon. 2922 expresses deep layers of caramel, chocolate and maple, for a final finish similar to a maple syrup drenched French toast.

Kane Redux (silver wax) was good...wine barrel comes through...

The second is our Moscatel Anniversary Redux (Silver Wax) that was created by blending some of our favorite barrels from our stock of rye barrel-aged anniversary ales and bourbon barrel-aged imperial stouts. We then double barrel-aged the blend in Moscatel wine barrels (a Portuguese fortified wine) for a year. The subtle and delicate sweetness of the Moscatel wine barrels perfectly complements the intricate flavors from our previously aged ales for a finish that is truly worth savoring. ⁣

Enjoy! Cheers. I'll save some of my Wiesn for homecoming. Have a few at the Scarlet Walk.

Enjoyed the Paulaner Octoberfest Wiesn a great deal. Found a 12 pak/ $18 here in sw FL. Prefer the Wiesn to the Marzen Octoberfest, an amber beer brewed year round.

Wiesn is a full bodied golden lager and a little stronger than typical lagers at 6% ABV. Interesting flavor profile and brewed with only 4 ingredients, water, malt, hops and yeast. A seasonal that I will be on the lookout for in the future. Thx again for the recommendation. I like German beers and this one fits in nicely on the roster.

Had Peroni Nastro Azzuro in Italy this week, enjoyed it. Not a big beer drinker anymore or drinker at all really.

I was there two weeks and had some Peroni and Moretti which is easy to find here in the states. They are just starting to get into the craft beer movement there which is cool to see so I also had a lot of that stuff as well.

Went to Icarus last night, first time.
Holy Shit!! Hands down the best brewery in NJ for Hop Heads.
18 beers on tap, I tried two flights of 5 4 oz. pours, all were very good to outstanding.
The IPA's are oated, or lactosed, or NE style and had sooo much flavor.
But what got me were the Stouts, full bodied and delicious.
A must try if you're a beer nut!!

It's definitely up there!

Picked up some Westbrook/Edmund's Oast There's Nuttin' Butter then a Nice Pair of Cam and Carton Nitro Basic Coffee Cream Ale. Both good but I liked the Westbrook better

Troon Big Doinks in Amish is awesome. Thick coffee and maple syrup with some vanilla sweetness and autumnal spices...

Imperial sweet stout brewed with lactose, boiled overnight, then conditioned on large amounts of gorgeous Rojo's Roastery Sumatra coffee, maple syrup and just a touch of Autumnal spices/ Tahitian vanilla to round it out. Huge and over the top just like Young King Dave was.

Was that the 14%??

Beer Wall to launch self-service beer restaurant in Lancaster; January opening expected

A self-service beer restaurant is coming to Lancaster.

Beer Wall, which will allow customers to dispense their own beer from a row of taps, is slated to open in January

There was a bar in South Street Seaport that has self pour taps. Looks to be the same type of set up, but this one is bigger. Didn’t seem to do very well and has since closed.

Having a Jack's Abby PB&J barrel aged. Pretty strong at 10.5%. I pick up a lil bit of the jelly nothing on the PB side. Its ok probably would not buy again

Now having a Mast Landing Gunners Daughter Milk Stout. Very good would buy again. Peanut butter coffee and chocolate stout.

2019 Perennial Abraxas and coconut Abraxas were excellent. Coconut had just the right amount and wasn't overpowering...

Imperial Stout with Ancho Chilies, Cacao Nibs, Cinnamon, Vanilla Beans, and Coconut

Icarus Kalashnikov Bourbon Barrel Aged (red wax) was also excellent. Nice coffee and barrel sweetness...

Rich and malty with heavy hits of coffee, roast, and chocolate, aged 7 months in Catskill Distilling Bourbon Barrels. (Red Wax)

Icarus: Choose Wisely. More traditional NE IPA. Good but nothing crazy. 3.5/5

Evil Twin: Is It Me or Does This Subway Station Smell Like Pee. Double IPA w/ citra and galaxy. Liked this better than the Icarus Choose Wisely. 4/5.
