OT: Prime Time will crash and burn

The hype is even worse than Miami and it got way out ahead of the team's development.
Fair to say they got distracted and too chippy

Bart Scott used to say (when a WFAN host) you have to have some "goblins" on your team acting as enforcers. Colorado doesn't have many goblins that I've seen so they should be careful about provoking dirty teams that do.

Sanders has been vocal about having high character players who don't associate with negative characters. For TCU game he was telling players that it "doesn't matter who they are playing" because they just need to play against themselves and their own weaknesses - strive to be their best.

Then for Nebby that started changing and he was telling team you "need to protect crib" and "don't let people come into your house and push you around - its personal."

Then the sunglasses thing played into the "personal" thing and the team starts getting wound-up and getting "personal" over State. The "doesn't matter who we play" thing wnt out the window.

Then there were all the washed-up rappers pushing the "personal" beef with Sanders Mom and it was no surprise teams were pushing and shoving before dressing. The Rock is there, A Migos rapper (cookin drugs with an Uzi) is there promoting his records on sideline interviews. Sanders worked with sunglasses brand to sell 1.2m in stock. The whole atmosphere turned into an unfocused carnival with Game Day present. I wasn't surprised when State started lighting them up and playing dirty.

You can't try to take 2 wins and act like Miami on Saturday when you've been trying to be ND or Boy's Town since January. Don't preach living a clean life free from "elements" and then show-off your druggy rappers who have band members get killed. Wayne had some issues at Jackson St with another rapper he beefed with. Coach Prime became Coach Neon this week and hopefully things just got carried away for week and not a whole season of "beefs" and bluster - keep the carnival off the sidelines

The whole thing Screams "bandwagon". Kinda pathetic, but it's pretty entertaining.

His team, including his sons, is out of control. They are looking for a fight at every turn. The game last night was a disgrace (both teams), and it's all due to this insane frenzy he creates around everything. It's all personal...while we preach that "nobody's opinion of me matters." I didn't see him winning out of the gate like this, so he didn't crash and burn. I suppose that's the worst call in history. But he's still a doosh and I don't know how anyone from Colorado can be proud of it.
Look at this moron right here. Who are they trying to fight? Go ahead let us know. In reality the team was completely disciplined in the face of multiple cheap shots. Stop inventing bullshit to attempt to save face.

If that hit on Hunter happens in OSU vs UM or pretty much any other major rivalry that's a bench clearing brawl.

I'm not a fav of everything Sanders does, and there is a bandwagon (a lot of them showed up at Jackson too) but on the positive side the air is coming out of the SEC monopoly balloon and Sanders is one of the pins.

He admitted the team played like "hot garbage" in first half and part of that is on him. But I think the rapid success and money basting the team has had even surprised Sanders - he lost the plot for a bit. I think College GameDay going to the game sucked-in the distractions and entourage.

It will be hard to beat Oregon missing Hunter but if the team comes back to Earth, and pushes the nonsense to the side, they can still make for a good game. Shedeur Sanders is really good even with mediocre protection. He's a nice kid to boot and it makes tolerating Dione easier lol

This is comedy gold, right here lol.

Stereotype based on your bias. You continue doubling down on your hate for Prime and his kids. You dislike them because they take advantage of social media, but I doubt you have a problem with the Kardashians' use of SM. What "looking for a fight at every turn" are you talking about? CSU was the dirty team and was looking for a fight. Against TCU and Nebraska, it was a good, hard-fought game with respect shown by all teams involved. Just because you continue to say a lie doesn't make it a truthful statement.

His sons out of control? I don't like the use of social media, but they are pikers in comparison to the Kardashians who I detest.

Prime is the flavor of day now, but if Colorado starts losing some who are quick to praise him now will be finding reasons to attack him.
I'm not a big fan of his self promoting, but it works and benefiting the Buffs.
If he was RU coach, you can bet I'd be happy with him and look at his self promoting as a good thing for RU recruiting and getting boosters to donate more.
Prime has been good for the Buff program and if it comes back down to earth before this season is over, I feel he still deserves praise for making Colorado larger on the College football map and probably building a future top program because of his personality .

Logan and Jake Paul might be more his liking than the Kardashian sisters.

Travis Hunter out 3-4 weeks with a lacerated liver.

You could tell something got painfully injured the way Hunter doubled-over and went down. I thought maybe it was a rib. Maybe the liver heals faster/better than a rib since I recall it regenerates better than other organs. I have read a bit about spleens rupturing and kidneys bruising

I didn't notice Colorado players being dirty or provoking State during the game. I did see them jawing with State players and that sort of tension came out during pre-game warm-ups when a third string TE for for State swatted down a warm-up pass from Shedeur to Hunter. Even Prime yelled at the State player.

Buffs are going to be a target for other teams and they'll have to deal with that. Prime had the kids stoked-up about "protecting crib" and the need to put-up a goof fight vs foes. I think the GameDay atmosphere and the Celebs (like Rock) plus rappers wearing "Its Personal" on their shirts (and being on the field with the team - Wayne rapping "its personal" ) went over-the-top. At Jackson, Prime had rappers who didn't like each other meet-up unexpectedly and cause some stress.

Teams like ND draw better efforts from foes but they don't have Lil Wayne leading the team out and other rappers ( Cam’ron, Offset, Key Glock, Master P, Snoop and others) wearing shirts throwing shade at the team.

When Hunter went down, the CU players DID NOT rush the CSU players out of anger. They remained calm. They didn't make a bad situation worse. But according to our "judge, jury, and executioner" poster, CU is full of dirty players. The dirty players that day were wearing green and gold.

I don't hate anyone...and not sure what bias you are talking about. All the crap that went during pregame...and then the dirty play...caused by the frenzy sanders created in advance. I surely don't hate his kids...they are simply acting the way he's taught them to act. His son calling out other coaches and media because they disrespected pop. Deion makes everything about him, despite the fact that he says he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him. He's been the same way since he was drawing $ signs in the batters box at FSU. I don't like the guy - that's true. Some of you feel he's adding the game...I think it's a gigantic clown show and don't like it...never will. I don't know too much about the Kardashians...and have never seen anything on social media from them...maybe that's your thing doug.

QB ran up and headbutted the offending CSU player.

Got a chance to watch more replays and more angles of the Hunter hit on a monitor rather than my phone, and it's a much later hit than I thought it was initially. I thought it was pretty close to when the ball arrived, but the ball had already hit the ground and bounced before the CSU player looked to initiate contact. Definitely a personal foul. Still not sure about targeting, but it's a grayer area than I originally thought.

I don't think the QB went up and "headbutted" the CSU player - but he did get into his face, facemask to facemask.

No reason at all for fans to doxx this kid and send threats, though.

Only you can talk 💩…

Gotcha! Hypocrite.
I'm no hypocrite tico. Didn't talk poo about any poster. I kept to the topic...you and your buddy buffalobill were the ones that got personal. Oh and somebody called me a moron...but you were the only one that insinuated that i like men (not that there's anything wrong with it). No worries...I forgive you. I don't take this stuff personally...it's just a game and I've pretty much enjoyed all the back and forth since December.

Naaahhh… I wasn’t insinuating that. You was waaayyy off with that swing and a miss on that Paul Brothers/ CE zealot softball reference, which your posts proves more and more.

Don’t need forgiveness from a child. Would say good day to you but I wouldn’t mean it.

Live by sword - die by the sword
You reap what you sow.
I have no sympathy for the player who made a strategized dirty hit on a top player now in hospital with lacerated liver .

As long as its not the Buff team making threats I dont care.
Typical of media betas to cry over criminals (damaging a persons body off the field gets charges)
I hate dirty teams/players
I know guys who still have bad knees from dirty clips in the 80s

so live by the sword means family is fair game too.
I can see not caring if the player was threatened, but not a fan of that tyoe of response to a dirty play, but totally against people's families being threatened for what a person did.
Guess you feel his mother is fair game, because she's being threatened because her son made a dirty play.

Weird and off base post on so many levels.
Eye for an eye is your thing? Your love affair for Deion is just way too over the top.
The hit was bad, and it was wrong. You have nothing to show that the kid contemplated lacerating Tucker's liver or it was "strategized" in any way. It was the culmination of a circus atmosphere that was initially driven by comments of both coaches, and it could have easily been quelled by both coaches, telling the players that no BS would be tolerated pre-game, in game or post game. They both allowed it to escalate and did nothing to stop it.

But you think one kid and his family should be subject to death threats and violence. That's some weird ass logic right there.

You continue to tell half of the story. You called out Sanders and his kids for their behavior, but not once did you mention the action of the CSU's coach. He talked down to Prime, and like most people, Sanders' kids will defend Prime. Other than that, Prime's kids never attacked other coaches using social media or through interviews. They have every right to defend themselves from people who turn their opinions of the Sanders into facts. QB ran up and headbutted the offending CSU player.
Are you comparing a headbutt to a cheap/dirty shot by the safety? That's a reach. Let's get a few things out in the open on what really happened Saturday night.

1) during warmups, the team had to be separated as things got heated. Why did it get heated? Sanders and Hunter were running a passing drill when a CSU player stepped in and knocked the ball away as to send a message to CU before the game. One, the CSU should not have been near the CU drill. There is a reason why each team is assigned a section of the field during warmups to avoid such incidents.

2) The hit on Hunter was late after another CSU held Hunter for most of the play. After the ball dropped, the CSU safety went too far with the late hit in an attempt to send a message. CU's sideline was right there, but not one CU player attacked or stepped on the field to escalate the situation. You tried to equate QB Sanders getting in the face of the CSU safety (dirty player) as being worse. If it was as bad as you said, I think the ref next to them would have thrown the flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. This tells me you are reaching for anything to justify your position.

3) The post-game interview by CSU coach (Novell) clearly showed you he was an immature coach compared to Prime. Prime gave credit and showed respect for Novell, yet Novell continued to bitch about Prime and his team. CSU played like their coach: undisciplined and hotheads.

I've been critical of Sanders for 3 days now. I dont care about the dirty player or his family - player's family problems are rooted in his dirty play right or not. Some of these players come from harsh environs and have sketchy fans and friends and family with records. Don't do dirty deeds and risk retribution

Absolutely the dirty hit was strategized.
State saftey saw the ball hit the ground right in front of him but he made a sidweays move to get around another defender in order slide around to pop Hunter while he was A) slowing down and B) still having his arms held by another defender. The hit wasn't just a standard and usual tackle with some extra hot sauce. Mens rea and actus reus in one play. Dirty players around the country now have reason to consider the wisdom of seedy play and that thats good

You are out of your mind and out of your league.

There is an assumption of risk when participating in a violent sport such as football, rugby, boxing, MMA, hockey, etc. This in no way condones the hit, I made it clear that it was dirty and out of line. The officials could have ejected the kid from the game. They did not.

See Vontaze Burfict. He had a long history in the NFL.

There is no excuse for dirty play.
People can get away with tax cheating too
Sometimes the margins allow fudging.
Ray Rice could not be charged with aggravated assault (as prosecutors wanted) because there were no injuries. State saftey was penalized for unneccesarty roughness but didn't target as defined so he was safe in the margins.

Even NFL players like JJ Watt instantly saw hit was dirty and intentional.
Vontaze Burfict would be pleased with Henry Blackburn as a fellow dirty player.
I know you said you wanted State to win so maybe you resent Sanders and now defend a dirty player.
I dont wish anything on Blackurn and I dont care what happens to him one way or another - he made his bed. My experience has been that people wanting to do harm dont warn first so "threats" don't mean much to me (and I've had them after putting a drug dealer in hospital but those are the rules of the jungle).

You are right, I am not comparing a headbutt to the dirty hit that safety made. You said not one CU player went after CSU after the dirty hit. My point was that you are quite wrong...Deion's son did exactly that. And the same son seemed to go after the Nebraska head coach for disrespecting CU. I believe they were praying at mid-field and Deion's son had to go have a beef with them. Nebraska invited him to pray with them. But I suppose you are right in your never-ending defense of Deion, his son, and the team in general. You have buffalo colored glasses my friend.

But it's certainly not out of line to call you out on it. I know this makes you feel uncomfortable and I'm sorry for that. Perhaps that's why you continue to keep things personal. Have a nice night Tico.
