OT: Prime Time will crash and burn

I wish Coach Prime the best of luck with his team. He is making college football fun again.

What is going on with his health? Diabetes? What has caused some of his toes to be amputated?

His family has a history of blood clots - inherited thrombophilia that has caused deaths (Sanders only learned of this from his mother after he was having problems.

The Ciff Notes version is that numerous foot injures (turf toe) caused clots that cut-off circulation to the toes. Two of them tured black from gangrene and had to be amputated. There is still swelling that takes place and it makes walking/standing painful. Sanders could lose a foot or his life at any time.

The fuller version is that Sanders' clotting is arterial and goes up his whole leg. His muscles are subjest to "compartmentalization" that constricts circulation. This cant be explained by the toe surgey or injuries

"The doctors stated that the routine surgery and other factors should not have caused this situation and there had to be other contributory factors like being genetically predisposed...The doctors described it as a potential 'time bomb' in his leg. So, one question is, Were there any signs or symptoms in advance of the routine surgery?."

I know that clotting has been related to the jabs, and if I had a family history of clotting I would have never taken any. Sanders not only took them (not knowing familial history) but he busted on Aaron Rogers for not taking jabs.

I like Deion a lot (since hearing his story on Bear Grylls some years ago) but if I was a gambling man...

  • Vaccine induced immune thrombocytopenia and thrombosis (VITT) is caused by anti-platelet factor 4 (PF4) antibodies that arise following covid-19 vaccination and lead to intense activation of platelets and the coagulation system
  • Symptoms begin 5 to 30 days after covid-19 vaccination and include severe or unusual headaches, new unexplained pinprick bruising or bleeding, shortness of breath, leg swelling, or persistent abdominal pain
  • Thrombosis affects the cerebral veins in 50% of cases, but any arterial or venous vascular bed may be involved and around one third of patients have thrombosis in multiple sites
  • Management includes anticoagulation with non-heparin based anticoagulants, which should be started as soon as possible, and intravenous immunoglobulin

Losing one might be good for Col.
They got waaaaay carried away this week.
Sanders has a dozen washed-up rappers there
The Rock is clowning all week.
There are close tom 100 recuits there
Sanders has his kids thinking they are in a gang fight and then State thinks they in a gang fight.

Good to get the garbage out now and come back to Earth

Bad series by Colorado in red zone. Your QB has elite arm talent and you run it 3 times with a suspect OL.

Game was very dirty
Travis Hunter hit was a crime and cost two players since he's both ways
Then State tried to hurt Shadeur in OT - I'm surprised he didn't dislocate his shoulder with the defender slamming and rolling on him.

Bufs might be in bad shape for Oregon next

"They do ejections for some weak targeting calls, but you don’t get ejected for something absolutely ridiculous like that?!?"

" Like I don’t understand the difference between targeting and what I just witnessed. I’ve seen others get thrown out for far less. That was blatant and uncalled for IMO!"

The new 1980s Miami Hurricanes in the making?

Using todays rules, is THIS grounds for disqualification?

That was so dirty . Guys get ejected for way less
*I changed the question to “Using todays rules, is THIS grounds for disqualification?”. But I’m guess you’d still say yes.

And I agree with you with this play. The Kamara play and i forgot what game it was where that other “targeting” was called when a clean tackle was made but still got kicked out.

Didn't watch the game, but neither of those look like targeting to me. Brutal hits yes, but within the rules.
The 20 year old me agrees with you. Hell, the 50 YO me agrees with you. But we all seen players get kicked out for making classic, textbook tackles like Kamara did. This ( I LOVE THE HIT) old school Steve Atwater/Ronnie Lott hit is the definition of targeting.

It wasn’t “within for rules”. He was penalized
One has nothing to do with the other. You can do things outside the rules and not get penalized, and you can do things within the rules and get penalized. The question wasn't whether a penalty was called, but whether we considered it a penalty.

F*ck the Fort Collins Sheep!!!
They have always been a dirty team when CU meets CSU.
CSU has an inferiority complex.
They shot their load for the season last night.

Mad Las Vegas GIF

Yes , it was a penalty . It was called .
He should have been ejected as guys get tossed for way less

Nasty play, and don't condone it. However, the circus atmosphere and the rivalry instigated this. There were 13 or 17 (or more) penalties on Colorado State, and I think 9 on Colorado. At some point, the coaches, who are the adults in the room (the players are technically adults to) should have let cooler heads prevail and deliver a message to their team that no crap play and nastiness would be tolerated.

Some fans like the theatrics. I don't. Just play the game. Hi five your teammates when you score, do a chest bump. Mocking and taunting not a good look, IMO.

This was the play I mentioned earlier.

I'm not sure if you're just trying to be argumentative, or just aren't getting it. Whether or not it was called has nothing to do with the question that was asked. The question is if we felt it *should have been called* a penalty.

It's like you're arguing that every pitch angel Hernandez called a strike was thrown over the plate, simply because he called them all strikes.

I am not trying to be argumentative . But yes we felt it should have been called a penalty

Again, I didn't watch the game, and have only seen these two clips. In a vacuum, I don't feel as though they were targeting... I could see the second one being a roughing the passer.

At a certain point, it just becomes about player safety, though. While I don't personally think those two out of context hits warranted ejection the way the rules are written, I can see refs trying to get control back by setting an example of what amount of physicality they will allow.

The entire team should have been penalized for targeting the minute CSU stepped off the bus. 🤬
I hate CSU as much as I hate Nebraska, State Penn, Sorrycuse, and BC.

This is a 100+ year rivalry. These games are usually like this. Prime and Norvell just elevated it in profile.

My opinion on those plays:

- The CBs hit on the colorado WR was beyond dirty and should be multi game suspension

- the tackle on the Colorado QB was not dirty but (assuming college rules are same as NFL) is technically a penalty as he continued through the tackle and came down with his full weight on the QB (which again I understand is a penalty even though it should not be

- the tackle of the LSU player - as violent as it looked - what else is the defender supposed to do? The offensive guy leaped into him - the defender grabbed him in the only way he could and dropped him (didnt slam him) to the ground

Rutgers fans are like this on the boards wouldnt do some old fashion hate towards Syracuse, Boston College, Penn State?

This is Ohio State/Michigan, Florida State/Miami, Pitt/WVU, BYU/Utah, Texas/Oklahoma, etc.

This rivalry is personal. It's common to find CU students on the CSU campus at a party or vice versa. It gets ugly due to seeing someone you don't like 365 days of the year. CSU (& Utah) never forgave CU for leaving the Rocky Mountain Conference for the Big 7 (Big 8/Big 12). CSU wishes the worst on CU for that move. CU has never looked back. Also, if CU offers a local kid, then CSU offers, chances are the offer may not be committable to CU.

I remember playing for Coach Mac, and the CU/CSU game was the only game where any personal fouls didn't carry any punishment the following week. Coach Mac was religious, and the CSU game was the closest I've seen him curse. As you can see, I don't like CSU anymore than I like State Penn or Sorrycuse.
