I think I can tell you a little about Colorado football prior to 2003. 😁 😁😁
From the mid 1980s to the early 2000s Colorado, along with Florida State, finished in the top 25 more than any other school during that time. During that time, they won a national championship. Also, CU played for the Pac 12 championship in 2018 and last had a winning season in 2020. They went bowling that season. Like Rutgers the myth about the lack of success is built around two coaches that changed the narrative of the program. That was Karl Dorrell and my boy Jon Embree. They are equal to Terry Shea and Chris Ash. I'm talking scorched earth policy. Mike McIntyre is equal to Kyle Flood. Bottom line, the support of the program is equal to that of Rutgers, but the difference is CU win more often over the last 30+ years. And the media doesn't dog them like the Star-Liar at every chance.
