Hunter was a 2-way in high school and wanted the same in college ball
Prime did it in NFL and had no problem with Hunter doing it in college
Hunter and Prime also share religious dedication and that was a key.

Coach is already warning NFL that a team that drafts Hunter should plan on using him on offense and defense.
Prime has often said offense said that WR was Hunter's best position

Yup I apparently make tons of terrible calls. What’s the point of someone coming on here just to call out a poster and basically attack them personally. He added zero to this whole thing which has been going on for years now. Call it a bad call if you want, but it’s promoted tons of dialogue for a long time. That’s what this site is about. Superfan added nothing today.

You shouldn’t get attacked personally …although it’s an anonymous message board , so not really sure how personal someone can get.
Whatever flack you are getting about your terrible call is deserved . You started the thread and called attention on yourself . Either make better calls or suck it up and accept the criticism.

I didn’t sh$t on anything . I posted I hoped he would opt out of the game and took a bunch of crap for it in that thread …then weeks later Greg Schiano has the same thought I did , that I got questioned on here.
That’s just legendary man.

I have not complained about criticism for two years of this thread. No issue with that or I would not have made the post as extreme as it was. I just find it weird for someone to jump in here on Christmas and call someone out randomly the way supercheese did. That’s a doosh move and I’m pretty sure if super cheese were to look in the mirror he or she would agree.

It's safe to say that @ScarletDog is no plum street when it comes to calls and predictions.

Dog tried to be a big shot with this thread and can't admit it was a record fail.

Superfan I have no issue with being right or wrong about anything. This has been a thread that lasted two years…achieved what I wanted….got people talking and created an enormous amount of back and forth among lots of people. If it makes you feel good about people being right or wrong then enjoy yourself. I happen to enjoy reading the posts and seeing everyone’s opinions and arguments. This is what the board is about to me. I suppose you get something else from the interaction. You have every right to live your life that way…have at it.

Seems like a fair assessment of Deion by someone that doesn't like him.
I thought he'd crash and burn and was wrong.
Now I feel he'll be back at Colorado next year and do a good job.
Sanders will go to the pros or FSU in the future but will stay in Colorado just to prove the skeptics wrong and build a top Big 12 program that will be playoff material.

Deion Sanders: “I don’t have any desire or ambition to coach in the NFL. I have a problem with men getting their checks and not doing their jobs. I would be too tough as a coach in the NFL because I still have those old-school attributes.”

Deion was known as a hard worker (even by teammates that didn't like his style - they also said he was quiet off-camera).
Deion had hard working stepfather and grandparents and I know the type.
Only place I could see Deion is maybe at Dallas and even that's a fetch.
He actually does like Colorado and he owns Boulder and the uni.
He's did a Bear Grylls show once - he likes the outdoors.
He just has to stay healthy mainly - that inherited clot disease is always looming

Curious why you don't like the guy. Do you know him, or do you just judge him by his flashy style? Can you admit he seems to care about his players and has brought interest back to a team that was moribund? Maybe you dislike certain things about him. He is certainly not humble, but he is religious (and IMO, that is no reason to dislike a person if you are not religious). I'm neutral on Sanders, but see a lot of good in him.
 
He's had a good year and I'd just leave it at that. Thought it might tank after the Nebraska game and the off the field distractions but nope, he did a good job.

Next step is to see if he can replace Shadeur and maintain performance. The incoming freshman and specifically Salter are potentially good but hard to replace Shadeur. Held on to the ball too long at times but he could so many throws with good accuracy too, not every qb is so gifted.

I have disliked him since he was at Florida State drawing dollar signs in the batters box. I am not fond of people who are over the top outwardly arrogant. The guy was a gifted athlete….and equally gifted asshole in my opinion.

Regarding him being religious, I believe it is a very positive thing. I hope it rubs off on his players. I go to church most Sundays myself.

For me, his over the top style is a turnoff. His ego has enabled much of his coaching success, but watching it he seems very fake and everything is about him. He’s done a good job promoting Hunter and his son (not that they need it), but generally over time it is all about Deion. It seems to be working….certainly out Colorado back on the map and ignited the fan base. He won’t stay long. I’ve felt all along that he’s only coaching for his kids. That purpose is nearly over and Colorado will likely tumble back into the abyss.

Based on 2024 Salter looks like more of a challenger to the freshman talent Julian Lewis as Colorado's replacement for Shadeur. But if Salter show the form he had in 2023 ( 177-290 for 2,876 yards and 32 touchdowns with 6 int. Plus 1,089 rushing yards in 163 att & 12 TDs.
Deion might just let Lewis sit and learn for the year so the freshman isn't forced to learn on the job

I have had similar thoughts about his flashy style in the past, but watching him that past year and the many good things he has done has softened my negative views on him. But don't pay close attention to him. I think he has been good for college football though.

"Prime" was an intentional marketing identity as seen with rappers, WWF wrestlers etc.
In fact, rap's inflated bravado was derived from 80s wrestling.
I just see the "Prime" character as akin to "The Rock."
A lot of people hated Ali back in the day because he was confident and had a big mouth.
But as time went on it all became part of the folklore.
But behind the noise Sanders was known to be quiet and a hard worker on his teams

Here he is with his "Prime costume" laid out while he watches film before a game. He worked hard at his game.
