Prime evokes passionGlad to see so much passion on the topic. Wasn't sure if anyone would care to comment.
Well I would rather he that he is coming then about a 5 year plan because that isn’t coming anytime soon😀. “Don’t let his confidence offend your insecurities.”In his introduction speech to the team, he said "I'm coming" more times than you would hear in a 4 hour porn movie.
You know the same people complaining about Deion and his first player meeting when he told most of them to hit the portal, would be complaining if he told Rutgers players the same thing. They would say that it’s not fair to these Rutgers/Jersey Men that they’re replace by these 4* mercenaries paid by Under Armour, Barstool, and others.Well I would rather he that he is coming then about a 5 year plan because that isn’t coming anytime soon😀. “Don’t let his confidence offend your insecurities.”
I agree...it will be very interesting. He will definitely attract a ton of attention to the program and a lot of talent. There's always been the theory that it's about the Jimmys and Joes, not the Xs and Os....and I tend to agree with this. This will be a much bigger operation than Jackson State....more to do...and it will be interesting to see how much control the school actually allows him to have once things are rolling.Prime evokes passion
He’s a polarizing individual
Will be interesting to see if he succeeds at Colorado, but if there’s one thing I know about him, it’s that he love challenges
Hard to bet against someone with that much success and the self confidence to back it up

Somehow I feel like they’d get over it once we started winning games againYou know the same people complaining about Deion and his first player meeting when he told most of them to hit the portal, would be complaining if he told Rutgers players the same thing. Nobody would care if we started winningSomehow I feel like they’d get over it once we started winning games again
Bro I hate to break this to you, but we’re never going to consistent rose bowls. Not in our wildest rutgersal dreams are we consistently making the rose bowl…. Tbh, I’m 33 years old, and I hope to see us do it once in my lifetime.Nobody would care if we started winning
All the bravado and faux outrage would immediately disappear if we started going to consistent Rose Bowls
Unfortunately, I agreeBro I hate to break this to you, but we’re never going to consistent rose bowls. Not in our wildest rutgersal dreams are we consistently making the rose bowl…. Tbh, I’m 33 years old, and I hope to see us do it once in my lifetime.
Sorry, don't see "polarizing." You also said you love or hate him. Don't feel either. Don't really feel much of anything about the guy. The thread tracking his progress or lack thereof will be more entertaining that the Lance Leipold thread.Prime evokes passion

Not if Rutgers keep doing the same old same old. Coaches like Deion is the outside the box solution to help Rutgers problems.Bro I hate to break this to you, but we’re never going to consistent rose bowls. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 There would be certain groups would make Deion’s life (or Mike Leach) a living hell. Shoot, they said a 107-9 record in D3 or 2 FCS NCs wasn’t good enough for Rutgers.Somehow I feel like they’d get over it once we started winning games again
Can you please point us to 5 year plan and where Greg himself said that? Thank you.Well I would rather he that he is coming then about a 5 year plan because that isn’t coming anytime soon😀. “Don’t let his confidence offend your insecurities.”
Sounds like you are realizing it’s already an issue.I'm trolling you.
Ideally, the OC should have been in place by now. There's an OC Wish List thread, and I have several posts in there.
Longo would have been a home run and is a NJ guy. But he's gone.
Maybe Greg whiffed on his short list and got turned down, or the short list candidates took other jobs. If that's the case, that could be worrisome or just the way it is. Just like the head coach search 3 years ago, people are not beating down the door to coach at RU.
Maybe they have a guy in place, and they are holding off on the announcement. However, this does not make sense from RU's perspective as they need help from the portal.
So my answer is, it depends, but ideally it should have already happened.
Yup, it's an issue, but if RU gets a home run hire there is a good explanation for the delay, perhaps we can all be happy?Sounds like you are realizing it’s already an issue.
I guess that depends on if we are talking tee ball home run or big league home run.I would agree with that. But if you think there is a home run hire they are just sitting on, well, that’s very naive.
Man I pray that you don’t have to endure what I had to for the last 30 years for the next 30 years I am 62.Bro I hate to break this to you, but we’re never going to consistent rose bowls. Longer this goes, more I think it’s just gonna be Nunz
To Chief of Staff? Apples and oranges, no?I'm getting HC Pike elevating Coach Hayn vibes.

Millions in publicityThe TOS lists Coach Prime’s son one of it’s top 10 Heisman candidates. The buzz and press around the program is just off the charts.
Yes…🤠He should keep the Cowboy hat all season. A little throwback to Bum Phillips Houston Oiler days.

Can’t beat your’n for soothing jellyfish stings. My fav Bum quote (about Bear Bryant)
" Bryant can take his'n and beat your'n, and then he can turn around and take your'n and beat his'n."
Novel concept. As a Defensive guy, Deion focused on the defensive side of the ball today while letting the OC focus on the offensive side.
Not a bad showing today.
My favorite is about Earl Campbell, “I don’t know if he is in a class by himself, but it sure don’t take long to call roll.”My fav Bum quote (about Bear Bryant)
" Bryant can take his'n and beat your'n, and then he can turn around and take your'n and beat his'n."
Dave Brown ran him over, nuff said hahaWhat I want to see is if Deion insists his DBs do run-stopping. Deion never did. Now.. stopping a ball in the air... fantastic, he was. Stopping a ball in a ball-carrier's hand? Not so much. He'd let them pass by him to try a tackle from behind or simply allow himself to be "blocked" while he made sure the runner did not get the sideline.
Another angle... he could back up his swag as a freakishly quick and fast athlete. Will he end up with players with swag who cannot back it up? Will he avoid good players that don't display his style?
It is something to watch... as CU fans have seem to have decided. Football is an emotional game.. he has that emotion going the right way already.
