I’m so done with CW. Eventually her little empire will come crashing down. Her crude oil comment is like saying automobiles are the covered wagons from the 1800’s because we’ll all be driving flying cars at some point. Which would probably be a correct prediction in 120 years.
exactly. It's easy to predict either a trend or a timeframe. The money is made doing both.

Hopefully she diversified the paycheck she got for all those good years. Fame is fleeting in her line of work.

10 years of the effective rate of dividends at that price and your entire investment is returned. But we all know there will be no more chemicals, plastics, ICE vehicles and natural gas electric generation by 2024 so you'll probably lose money 😄 .

I'll take a look at my accounts tomorrow. In the meanwhile:

Good news for the markets:

Temporary slide for the vaccines but the Merck pill isn't a panacea and vaccine will still be needed. Good day to pick up some MRNA on the dip.

It fills a gap in treatment options, especially since it is a pill. But yes, vaccines are still required.

The US gov't? Zero sign of that happening.
They need to tax the hell out of it first. No chance they leave all that money on the table. But IMO the US won’t put up with it for that much longer and will enact regulations that dramatically impacts value.

How about China? And if you don't think Congress requiring 1099-Bs for cyber transactions would have a negative impact I have a bridge I want to sell you.
Looking forward to some reasonable regulations from the SEC. That would get tons and tons of money on the sidelines invested into crypto. KABOOM!

Ain’t happening. Why does the US Gov’t give a rats ass about crypto especially when it negatively impacts the US dollar and the Big Banks have way too much lobbying clout. Not to mention the 8000 metric tons of gold the US holds in bullion depositories.

crypto is a great example of gov't overreach. Leave it alone
How do you figure? It’s rife with fraud, lack of transparency, tax evasion, coding bugs, etc. and the technology has yet to make any meaningful difference in society during the 5+ years that crypto-pumpers have been proclaiming world dominance. If El Salvador is the best example of adoption that’s even more the reason to jump ship and move into real assets like gold. Crypto is likely the #1 trigger of a major correction based on either stringent regulation or the discovery of a massive fraudulent scheme.

Some how he didn't realize that before posting?
+1
He is probably still recovering from the OSU whooping. I'm a long-time RU fan, but wasn't delusional about this game. Long way to go for GS to start competing with the best.

Was he talking about China? But that ban is in place, as are 1099 requirements. So the negative effects of those gov't measures are already in the price.

Haven't you notice that the same crew that hates TSLA also hates crypto and CW. Some folks are stuck in the past. Investing is about the future.

Haven't you noticed that the same crew that loves TSLA also loves crypto and CW. There is a sucker born everyday. BTW, if Musk really believed in crypto he’d own mining operations, an exchange, etc. This is the guy that made a fortune on PayPal not to mention is the richest guy in the world. He has Tesla, Boring Company, SolarCity, SpaceX, HyperLoop just to name a few. Musk would be in a perfect position to lead the crypto revolution but relegates himself to yapping about it. That’s because he doesn’t truly believe in its utility. Just loves making easy money.

So tell me what % of your investments, both taxable and tax sheltered retirement, are in TSLA and crypto? Are you putting your money where your mouth is or are you having fun touting a few high flyers and long shots that are a small portion of your investments? I actually have a few investments related to non-TSLA EV and alternative energy, but they are not material and I don't tout them on a hourly basis like I've bet the house.

The whole platform was designed of criminals, by criminals, for criminals. Regulate it, tax the shit out of it, and prosecute the fraudulent promoters, including the former Chairman of Tesla.

I noticed the people that can't handle any conversation about downside, risk or any other potential problems all love TSLA, CW and crypto.
100% correct. My concern is there is no way anyone can accurately value crypto; as it turns out, the overvalue concerns with ARKK were proven accurate (was $160; now down 30% to $107); and the jury is out on whether Tesla can grow into its lofty valuation.

Easily one of the biggest schemes in the history of finance. US Regulators know it. China knows it. India knows it. Novogratz knows it. The Winklevoss twins know it. The question is how do you regulate or unwind it without massive world-wide implications. The whole idea of DeFi doesn’t even make sense. Without regulation or the proverbial throat to choke you have nothing more than the modern day Wild West. It’s doesn’t work which is why you still don’t see adoption. Just wait until it’s revealed how much money the El Salvador president received from crypto whales to launch that fiasco.

By the way, I’m still laughing at folks that piss on gold. In the meantime, the US holds about $400B worth of gold, not to mention the massive reserves held by China, India, Germany, and France. Me thinks that matters when it comes to valuing gold vs. a string of 0s and 1s.

A group of friends founded a company initially called Cree Research, then just Cree. Today, Cree became WolfSpeed. Ticker WOLF. Shifting away from lighting to chips. Building a $1B manufacturing facility in NY, where one founder is from. EV is the big opportunity. Check it out.
