OT: Stock and Investment Talk

Welcome to the world of options. I sold my HUT calls for 600% profit.
Thanks! And thanks for pushing on this topic. Sold my MARA calls for 315% profit prior to the close. I think crypto stocks still have room to run, so I will likely buy MARA straight up and see what happens.

I didn't have the guts to buy this week's MARA calls. Yesterday I bought its Sept 15/monthly calls in case the decision didn't come down today.

I have bought calls for multiple mining companies. Will buy again if there is a pullback.

I guess the next big crypto event will be the actual SEC approval of a spot ETF. Not sure of the timing on that, but I assume the crypto market will drift higher unless a negative event happens.....like the SEC appealing the decision. The decision was 3-0 and really harsh on the SEC. Quite a whooping.

I wanted to buy some puts last week but there were no options yet. If it spikes tomorrow i will. Massive premiums though.
Looks like options got posted on yesterday (at least on Fidelity). I seriously think this SPAC is going back to $10 and likely lower. I'll check out premiums in the morning.

Might by some MARA puts as well.

I understand its a beta play but 28% vs 7% for btc? Even GBTC was only up 18%.

Hmm, not sure about MARA puts. I would be surprised to see MARA go back to $10. Getting a BTC spot ETF is a really big deal. Probably as bullish as the next BTC halving. My guess is MARA will get back to $20 unless there is a negative catalyst (like the SEC appealing or doing something nuts). Obviously, I'm not willing to bet my MARA call profits on this thesis. However, I will buy MARA straight-up tomorrow on any weakness/breather and see what happens.

Grabbed a few VFS puts this morning. We shall see! :)
Mentioned them a while back in context of their new manufacturing facility being built in Chatham County NC right next to WOLF's new production facility also under construction. WOLF is a supplier, of course.

I assume that is the expected jump in Rev's for WOLF from $1b in 2024, to $1.5 in 2025, to $2.4 in 2026.

Personally, I never bought nor would I ever buy a SPAC. There is a woeful lack of disclosure and scrutiny, in my opinion. To each his own, though.
Lack of disclosure normally means they are hiding something. Not everyone, but most. If you have good news, you would want to get the info to the public.

They are not necessarily bad. And after a certain amount of time after the merger you'll have a better understanding of what the company actually looks like.

But VFS and ICCT sue do look like the good old days of spacs running wild.

Just a personal preference on my part. There is a reason they are called “blank check companies.” If a new company can’t file an S-1 registration, it doesn’t interest me. From the ‘80s to today, low quality initial offerings have had occasional success, but more-often poor investments. I’ve also seen them as an indication of “wild” speculation—or at least
Imprudent speculation. Again, my opinion.I’m not trying to tell anyone what do do or how to invest. Lots of ways to win, and lose.

Even Bostic is finally getting it:

If we take out the BS gov'ment math and use real-time data, we will all know what inflation actually is.

LOL!

You mean the real time data like Crude closing at its high for the year? Or Nat gas up over 40% from its lows?
