OT: Tiger Yipping it at TPC Today

not one but two fluffed chips on # 9 this morning. Double bogeyed both par 5's for a 40 on the front nine with 9 holes to go. Will be interesting to see if he can settle down the rest of the way.

The nefarious thing about the Yips is that reappear suddenly without warning. Since Tiger has made the cut he'll be out there again tomorrow. Will be interesting to listen to what he says in the post round interview today.

I watched a lot of Thursday's and Friday's coverage. Chipping has been an adventure for a number of name players. Phil played 18 +5 and the other 34 holes even par. Spieth had all kinds of issues around the green. I believe it was McIlroy who left his approach shot 30 yards short of the green. He also had a 135 yard drive. Poulter got into it with a heckling fan. Morgan Hoffman went back and forth across the green one hole getting an 8. Aaron Baddely ended up with an 8 on the par 3 17th after splashing two tee shots, then getting a penalty for an illegal drop. It's been a strange tourney.

Tiger refused to speak with the media after today's round. So much for him turning over a new leaf and becoming media and fan friendly.

Lots of eyes will be on his chipping tomorrow.

I don't know if folks noticed it, but he was putting around the greens except when he could not. His scrambling stats are 3-16 outside of 10 yards from the pin. 3 for 16!!!!!!!!!! That includes 1 for 9 from 10 to 30 yards!!!!!!!
