Looking to resurface my front porch that is made of cement and it has some small cracks. My sister in law used Restore 10x on her wooden deck with mixed results. In fact Home Depot said Restore took the 4x and 10x off the market to reformulate it. So basically, this is Restore2x against Deck Over, comparison..

I refinished my pool deck with Restore and a roller. It covered thin cracks. Worked well.

I used Restore on my porch last summer. Loved the look. Hated the cost and was not easy to work with (does not go far). With that said, after applying it as directed only one year ago I saw bubbling in multiple places after our cold wet winter and just removed it with a sander this past weekend and got my $400 back. Not surprised at all they pulled the product. I will say though that the neighbor who recommended it to me had great results on his deck.

I just redid an old deck with Behrs Deckover. Did a good power wash one weekend, then waited for Temps to warm up. Used Slate Gray Deckover. The spindle rails went on easy with one coat, but the deck surface, about 250 sq ft was another story. It was slow going rolling the thick Deckover liquid type sealant stain. About 3 hours for 1st coat, then 2 hours for Another coat. , and still think it could use a 3 rd coat . My brother then sees it and sys a 3rd stain would help a lot.

Do not use or waste your time with restore by rustoleum. Applied it less than a year ago and after the winter has bubbled and chipped off half my patio. Same thing happened to my sister's deck. Sent a message to their Facebook page and they said something to the effect that it is not meant for climates that go below 40 degrees. This would seem to include most of the country. Also each can does not cover nearly the area it claims so you will end up buying a lot more to finish the job.

Ok, thanks guys, sure looks like Restore is off the table. Man I love this board, and to anyone who hates the OT threads, I say I don't agree.
