Post here: The OFFICIAL PREDICTION thread...Jarrett Guarantano to......?

For the posters who said he is going to UT for a reason like playing time, there are three stud QBs ahead of him that just signed to UT. I would think he maybe plays his senior year after the others graduate and also he redshirts. How is that a good plan?? SMH.....

Chooses Tennessee on Wednesday, but ends up with tOSU on signing day. His visits here have been a courtesy to his home state school and to his dad.

If you put the pieces together of what he's said on Twitter with the latest article on bleacher report where he goes over the 3 options, it's clear he's not coming here.

He talks in the article about Rutgers would be a way for him to follow his dad's path. And not too long ago on Twitter he talked about making his own path. Little things like that add up.

i'm really enjoying this craziness, i wish he postpones his choice until signing day

Tennessee would be a bad choice for Guarantano. While they have a large fan base the program is really second tier in the SEC .Alabama,LSU,Auburn,Georgia ,Florida andTexas A&M are all schools in better position to be successful and there are other SEC teams that are also tough opponents. The schools in the south take their football programs seriously and the quarterback becomes the fall guy for teams not ranked and invited to the best bowl games. In contrast Ohio State is the overwhelming favorite in the B1G regardless who the quarterback might be as seen last season.Winning is ensured but not playing time. As for Rutgers they aren't going to win any perception comparison as compared to Tennessee and Ohio State. The decision for Rutgers would be based primarily on comfort level and familiarity with players and coaches.Elite recruits think they can handle all the pressure of being in the limelight which obviously favors the two other schools. While my heart is with Rutgers my head says Ohio State joining Walker and maybe Gary.

no inside info (which doesn't exist when it comes to what a 17 year old kid is thinking haha) but I think JG comes here. just something he said the other day with regards to how much he liked tenn, how he liked his visit to OSU but then like as an afterthought, he says to an interviewer (and I'm paraphrasing) "but I'm most comfortable at RU" said it so matter of fact that it just makes me think when push comes to shove, when you start thinking about playing time, getting buried on the depth chart, being 1000 miles from home if he went to either school, etc, etc, he's gonna say RU gives him the best shot to play in front of mom and dad. he seems like that kind of kid to me, that he's not looking at starting a revolution by staying home, he just he wants to stay home. just my two cents from the past couple of interviews he's given. i also do think whatever he announces april 15th, he stays with since he wants to enroll early.

I don't even know where I am going this week so I truly don't know where these two will end up..What I do know is we have one guy in Haskins who grew up in Highland Park, 5 minutes from the stadium ,in a family that has been there for at least 80 years and is best friends with Jabbie... And we have JG who is a legacy of one of the most talented Wides we have ever had here. If we get neither it is a reflection on all we have done over the past 146 years to keep us from being what we should have been ten times over..A legendary program from a talent filled state..
You can call me Mr. Obvious but it still hurts..

His "decision" is slated for tomorrow. He still doesn't know according to an article I read earlier. I think he pushes it back, and the drama continues, which is ridiculous.

and.?

Vol fans are being congratulated on the main board about getting JG, from Michigan and Ohio state fans

congrats

Haven't we been burned enough times to know that it doesn't matter what he says tomorrow? It's a long time until NSD 2016.

I really hate these type of comments, you realize that were like two months removed from singing day and this kid is still in his JR year of HS

Tennessee is a historical power. They've been down recently but they are most definitely on par with the likes of Georgia and Auburn and Texas A&M in terms of prestige, ability to build a dominant program, etc.

This kid is head case. Don't expect anything from his commitment. Per the SL he doesn't know who is picking tomorrow.

JG commits elsewhere, is unhappy, transfers to Rutgers and then has a highly successful career at Rutgers.

He knows...he just doesn't want everyone else to know he knows. I really think it's going to be RU!

His Dad picked Rutgers... he'll go Tennessee unless he has some very specific academic goals in mind. For standard undergrad stuff State Us are pretty much the same. Vols and Buckeyes can offer the "big time" atmosphere.. we can offer some fine academics and support system for same and being the home state U. If JG really loves NJ we still got a shot.. if not he'll see what some other state has to offer... might be good.. or bad.. for him. He'll see.

I predict that he will never attend the school he commits to tomorrow.

He picks RU. He sticks with RU. He heads up the best recruiting class ever brought to the banks and he wins a B1G title before being drafted among the top three QB's in the draft that year. He dies an old man down at his shore house but still a New Jersey legend who will be talked about a hundred years from now.

Is that all? We can offer a lot more, including the big screen at Times Square! That is no small thing. We are talking about NEON Jarrett. A guy that thrives on attention.

I have been going back and forth on this...and I just can't see jarrett, out of respect for his dad and the people he is close with at RU, some who are working or had worked for the program, dragging RU thru this to go elsewhere

They know how important this is....and if it is wasn't going to be RU...I think all of the social and media self promotion would be have toned down long ago

I think that's the clue for Jarrett to RU

If it's not...I'm going to be really disappointed, not because it's not RU,
But because the message is potentially really damaging in how this played out in the media and social media

We shall see

Fingers crossed

Nailed it........if he is going elsewhere dad should have asked Jarrett to tone it down ....I would hope that if RU had no real chance he would have eliminated us early on.......I guess either way the kid wants his big day, he does deserve to
have it the way he wants.....but RU will feel the pain when a NJ player makes a big announcement and leaves the local
teams hat on the table.

Kind of agree here. In Todderick's article yesterday JG says I still haven't made my decision. I don't understand the need to rush to a decision and he sounds like a perfect flip candidate.

In a perfect world this would be a reasonable post.

In reality, I think it's more like, "You don't know Bo".

Tennessee.

we have a lesser chance of landing Haskins...I hope some out there are not hoping Jarrett goes elsewhere because there
is an excellent chance we will have to chase after our 3rd or 4th choice after today.....Haskins is a long shot
