Yea could have sworn I heard Goodale speak of a timeline at one of the golf outings. Donnie was discussed as being the “coach in waiting”.
There’s probably not much to it, just the Columbia job opened up sooner than the Rutgers job
So it wasn't a misconception and there was a succession intention? I suppose it doesn't matter at this point for Pritzlaff but will be interesting to see what is promised to potential replacement, if anything.
Not an upgrade. Nobody can replace Donny. But the next hire will be solid.

Anyone know if Goodale reached out to NATO and asked about joining RTC or his staff in some capacity?
I know they would hold hiring an asst coach until the top coach is hired.
How did you get To this conclusion from someone asking who else goodie is considering?
Richie O’s tweet saying Snyder is staying at Nebraska. And discussions last week that said Snyder was the only real candidate to interview.

Besides Coleman Scott, are there any other notable Top coaches looking for work?
Reach out to SeaBass and make him an offer he can't refuse.
Reach out to AA and do the same.
Reach out to other people on one year deals (NATO?).
Heck, Pay the WOrld Champ who just gave a clinic to work at SKWC while he trains for MMA (maybe 3x a week)
Get creative.

I’m not optimistic we’ll land anyone good. Definitely bummed we couldn’t pull off Snyder but I’m used to disappointment at this point.
Embarrassing if that happens. No one will take us seriously on the recruiting trail.

My experience of dealing with people that have moved on voluntarily or involuntarily is to deny access immediately. (Finance). Sorry I get he’s a good guy but I have seen many a good guy poach in my lifetime. Too much risk in my opinion. Ability to have access poach staff, athletes and recruits.

This was a clinic by a World Champion.
I don't think there is bad blood between donnie and staff.
He has built relationships with everyone on the team.
If they were going to leave, they would leave already
This picture is not from the clinic. Donny wasn't at the clinic. This is a picture from the RTC practice this week. Buxton and Donny have trained Seb to be an Olympic medalist.
Like I said nobody cares what you think.

Doesn’t have to be bad blood. That’s why I asked is it odd in wrestling to have someone that recently left staff stick around for weeks and continue coaching in your room.
Played basketball and when coaches left their privileges and contact with anyone in that locker room immediately ended.
I don't think he'd be in the room if Sebastian wasn't still getting ready for the Olympics. That situation is bigger than all and everyone involved wants to see seabass do well at the Olympics.
We have less than a month til wrestling, no need to start changing things and add stress with last minute training location changes and what not.

Understood and agreed. Special situation. But still odd. Especially if the rumors are true that sea bass is following him to Columbia.
