Last RU player to average 8 rb/g was Echenique in his freshman year in 2008-09. Would love to see Carter come in and give us the 8.4/8.4 that Ech did that season.

The last player to do it before Ech was Rashod Kent as a junior and senior in 2000-02. Before that was Andre Lamoreaux in 1992-93.

But sure, not outrageous at all.

I can pretty much guarantee you that those numbers for Andre Lamoureux are published in error. Sites like sports reference.com do make mistakes.

I just double checked against the record book in the media guide, and it was in error. He had 4.5 rb/g that year. Looking at the year-by-year rosters, it looks like the last person before Rashod Kent was Keith Hughes during his junior/senior seasons in 1989-91.

Will correct the post above.

Also, while I was in the record book....

We have had just 13 players in history with career rebounding averages of 8+, and only one (Keith Hughes) since 1979.
