...and for the 2nd straight year, our 1st Big Ten Conference game is scheduled for 1pm on a workday. Thanks Athletic Dept for standing up for the season ticketholders who have jobs! WTF.

The BigTen determines start times for conference games not Rutgers.
.I realize that but 2 years in a row? That's why I mentioned the Athletic Dept standing up for its season ticketholders and we all know they probably did zero. I guess we're supposed to be eternally grateful to the Big Ten for saving us from the scrapheap. Not sure when playing day games on non-holidays became a thing. I'm sure the TV ratings will be astronomical. If they want to schedule UMass-Lowell for 1pm on a weekday, I guess I can live with it, but for games against people care about it's just annoying.

other Big 10 schools have and will play on these days. This has nothing to do with our athletic department
There is another Big Ten game with a 2pm start and another with a 3pm start. There are others with slightly more reasonable start times like 5pm, 6pm, 8pm. Ours is at 1pm and it's 2 years in row we're doing this at home. Sorry, this sucks. But, we're Rutgers Basketball so I guess we can't expect much.

The Big Ten has an entire day dedicated to the start of conference play and honestly we all knew that they would put us in an early time slot because our team lacks the name and quality for a prime time start even against a team like Indiana.

because for years and years the school was run like a mom and pop organization. Small time athletic department with employees working for years without accountability. Fans used to have instant access to their cronies working in the department. More like PTA than NCAA.

Now thank god we are moving into big time athletics and slowly but surely people are going to catch on to what that entails

Until we're a team that somebody besides a few hundred gluttons for punishment wants to watch, exactly what do you expect? And hell yes, I AM eternally grateful to the Big Ten for rescuing us from the scrap heap, so I'll settle for crumbs until we start to establish ourselves as something other than what we are. (Decided to delete the specific reference and switch to "what we are" since it depressed me too much.)
