33-26 USCe at the half. Looking at the stats, it seems like our type of defensive game...teams combining for 25 TOs and 19 fouls. Scaife doing her part with 13pts on 5-11 shooting. Shooting percentage looks like the difference, 50% for USCe and 31% for RU (1-8 from 3).

Looks like we fought hard. I'll never understand women's ball officiating though, we took 13 foul shots they got 25. That's the game difference right there
78-68 but closer than score shows and a good game to build on.

We shot over 50% in the 2nd half against a top 5 team. This team may do something this year.
78-68 final. We took 14 more FGs and they took 12 more FTs. RU gets aggressive so it really matters how the refs are calling fouls. All other stats seems similar.

They held their own against a ranked team. As someone else said last year they would have been blown away. GOOD GAME LADIES!
I know there are no moral victories, but our women just faced the 3rd ranked team in the nation and played toe to toe with them down to the wire. I am really proud of this team and they're only going to get better the more they gel. This game should show the kids and C. Viv that maybe except for UCONN they can play with ANYONE in the nation.
Tremendous showing against a likely final four team.It seems having a new squad of players has created a offensive scoring surge that has been missing for years.Looks like the RAC will have some exciting games for the men and the women this B1G season.
I couldn’t watch, but was following the score and I love how our team hung with them. This was our teams first legit test of the young season, and they held their own. For the first time in awhile, we look like a tournament team.
From down here in Ft Myers - it was a great game and we gave SC everything they could handle. Wilson is great and as with most superstars gets more than her share of foul calls.
We missed several chippies which would have made the game even closer but it’s a game like this which will prepare us for B1G competition and (dare I say it) post-season play.
This group is learning to play together and will hopefully continue to improve. Western Michigan tomorrow. Would be nice to come out of this tourney with 2 wins and a 6-1 record.
