NEW BRUNSWICK – The Rutgers University board of governors on Tuesday passed a preliminary $4.5 billion budget without an increase in tuition and fees.
But J. Michael Gower, treasurer and executive vice president for finance and administration, said “a budget 2.0” will be introduced in the fall once several financial unknowns are established. They include enrollment, re-established medical revenue, sports revenue and state funding for the second to fourth quarters of next year, following no funding in the first quarter.
