How is coaching supposed to overcome the fact that you have a MLB and a WLB who are too weak to get off blocks? We suck defending the run because our LBs are too easy to block. Roberts consistently brain farts, takes bad angles to the ball carrier and get swallowed up in the wash. That is all on him. Morris needs to get stronger. He can't shed blocks. When your LBs are consistently blocked, it's much easier for the opponents RBs to get to the second level.
It's not just them. Our DL gets pushed around like they are on skates, and our DBs are burnt toast. It's a bad mix. What's worse is they are likely really competitive with our offense in practice. We have nothing.
But yea, it's coaching. Lombardi would lose with this team. Ash might suck or he might be Belichik. No one can know with these players.
