Sure , so would I. . But there is not . We are all fans here and supporters of the sport.
Correct. And my fandom very likely may wane as long as the current climate persists. Make it more rational with more parity and I’ll be happy as a clam. Like you said, we’re all fans here and this is where my head is at.

Paying for a better squat rack for a player is some higher moral ground?
In fact, I believe the coaches themselves have said that donating towards player costs is more important than facilities upgrades that may or may not help in recruiting.

Nah...during all those terrible years we were terrible on a more level playing field. Now we are terrible with the playing field heavily slanted against us. It's clearly harder to be a fan.

Ok. Not sure how long you been around . But Hughes , Duncan , Coleman, Spencer were all hired mercenaries. We just had Williams and Dercack . So … how many more you need to see? Because it’s just gonna increase
No they werent...except Cam...they were 2 year players and Hughes/Duncan sat out and ENTIRE season
Collectively, Rutgers and its fans and alumni continue to approach things the same way they ever did. Lacking conviction to commit to do what it takes to win. Until we do, we can whine all we want. Nothing will change. It takes money, stop bitching about that - it’s a simple fact. The big schools simply deal with it as a fact of life. Why can’t we?

This is the real problem with Pike. He still wants to run a mostly developmental program while the game has moved on from that model. He's gotta take the lead on fundraising and not let the lack of NIL be an excuse. Sure go ahead and develop a few core guys but he needs money to keep them or they'll walk when they get good. Also gotta pull in high end portal talent every year now and we're not even in the conversation for these guys. The on court result is just gonna get worse if he doesn't change his approach immediately.

We can model ourselves after Michigan State. They develop players, play sound team basketball, work hard on the boards and play good defense. They don’t have a bevy of bought and paid for superstars. Pike is making excuses. The fact is he is among the three weakest coaches in the BIG and he’s gotten exposed for that.
If he doesn't change this POV immediately, we are doomed (until he gets canned).
No doubt. Next year will be a nightmare. Wouldn't be surprised if Pike brings in full roster of mid-major guys.
