Just curious who's bailing after the poor results the last few years. We'll likely be bad again too this year unless Pike finds a pot of gold this year to pay the mercenaries that are available.

I'm still staying because if I give up my seats in the 100's it will be very difficult to ever get them back.

And I am all in, still, as well ... been going to games for 50+ years, not going to stop now. Was a season ticket-holder throughout the Littlepage and Eddie Jordan years - no reason to stop now.

Also, I wouldn't mind if there is some drop-off in season ticket sales so I can get back to my long=standing 100 level seats, which I used to have and gave up for literally ONME season due to health considerations - and have not been able to get back the last 3 seasons.

Never ever went to games at the barn.. those games there in 76 must have been a great experience.

Haven’t decided yet but it has little to do with the on-court results. It’s about the fact that it’s now professional basketball with one-year contracts. Everyone wants to get paid, which is fine, but to never see a team develop over several years, to see no loyalty just makes me far less interested. Not just about Rutgers but all college basketball.

?? After so many years and I mean since the RAC opened, why would I fo it now. Besides my kids and grand kids would have a fit.

I am probably giving up the season tickets. Seats are good in lower row in 200's for past 4 years but it has become too much of a burden with family and work commitments. Hour each way drive during the week really sucks. Sometimes, it is hard to find a friend or family member to join me.

Still hope to get down for a few games each year, likely at a discounted price. Unless Pike pulls a rabbit out of his hat, I do not see next year's team winning more than 12 games and being bottom of B1G. Spoke to ticket rep and they said they are firm on the auto renewal and MIGHT honor a refund for one off situations. Still will root for the team but hard to be optimistic with how things are going.

Hard to commit by April 15th with no idea what the roster may look like. Still think Rutgers has a lot of stones to ask for a commitment so early as a convenience to season ticket holders.

Our season tickets at the Barn were literally the best in the house: 2nd or 3rd row balcony exactly at the mid0court line ... just enough rows up so the safety rail did not block our view!

The '75-76 season was great. That last game vs St. Bonny to go 26-0 regular season was crazy, and the loudest or 2nd loudest basketball crowd I have ever been in (the other was the A-10 finals in '89 vs Penn St). First, I thought it would be an easy win for RU - St. Binny was decent, but not great, and RU WAS great ... boy was I wrong! The game was tight throughout before RU held on the win something like 85-80 only. The last 5 minutes of the game was CRAZY LOUD. Every time RU made a basket, the referees had to stop the game because paint chips were LITERALLY falling onto the court because of the noise ... no joke ... that literally happened ...The Barn was literally falling apart, and every time the crowd exploded with noise the building vibrated and shook such that paint chips from the ceiling fell to the court. I swear!

The Barn was acoustically strange. The court had sliding/collapsible wooden bleacher seats around 3 sides (the ends and one long side of the court), and a small balcony around those same 3 sides. The 4th wall, against which each team sat and the announcer and scoring table was, was a 3+-story high WOODEN wall, a SLIDING wooden wall, that separated the court from a pool and pool area. So the ECHOES from the hollow behind that wooden wall were absolutely INSANE ...plus the bleachers were those types of sliding/collapsible bleachers that were also hollow underneath, so rattled and echoed when people stamped on them. The noise and echoes were absolutely insane.

how so ? Demand will drop and cost won’t.

I’m still on the fence but the pompous 4/15 deadline is pushing me to the dark side…they can’t be dumb enough to not expect that though.

Yeah I'm pretty familiar with all that as I was in the place a bunch of times but never for bball. Frosh year I had your seats but at the new RAC.. of course you had to get those seats game by game then.

After 35 years I’m seriously considering giving up 2 of my 4 season tickets.
I think this is the most concerning thing about this whole deal.

The people who are on the fence of walking away or dropping tickets to maybe half or changing seats to reduce cost aren’t people who just hopped on during the Geo years.

These are people that have stuck with the program through years of losing and pain.

It’s sad and should be a top list concern of everyone involved with RU Hoops.

I will renew, but it’s almost like the ticket office expected this season to be a great success and now they can’t pivot from this early renewal date, which is annoying season ticket holders.

35 years for me too and I wouldn't even dream of giving up my tickets. There were a couple of clunkers at the RAC this year, but I also got to watch wins over Penn State, Seton Hall, UCLA, Illinois, USC and Minnesota. There's still nothing like it when the place is rocking, as it was many times throughout the year. Love interacting with the fans around me and doing my part for the U in the R-U chant (although unfortunately cut off by the in house "entertainment" just about every time we really got it going). Looking forward to next season.

Having said all that, the ridiculously early date and "automatic" renewal nonsense is kind of pathetic.

Absolutely

I'll make up my mind once the roster is set. If the deadline comes and goes before that happens, so be it -- they'll lapse and I'll figure it out later.

Very turned off by Pike's stubbornness, zero accountability, and the general state of college basketball.

If you want all of the fans "bitching" to leave there won't be many people left. Kool-Aid drinkers like you who have don't care about winning are in the small minority right now.kerp cutting off your
You jerks know nothing about what I care about. And if you're stupid enough to think real Ru fans don't care about winning you're dumber than your post. I'd said it often and it's truer than ever, with fans like you who needs enemies. BITCHING does nothing to help Ru succeed. Yeah giving up your tix will help--keep cutting off your nose to help your face-- idiot.
