Selection Committee Announces 8 teams for last 4 spots

So do we end up in and as a 10 seed as Creme predicts?

Uh oh. ESPN selection show just showed Rutgers with a “BPI” ranking of 94. How can a team have an RPI of 40 and a BPI of 94? I’ve never heard of the BPI before, and now that’s what they’re using? Of course they are since it wil probably keep Rutgers out.

Waiting to see if they speak to the Selection Committee to give reasons for the last four in and last 4 out.

related to their non competitiveness down the stretch...thats the kind of thing that keeps teams out...metrics like that

So the BPI is an ESPN ranking. I think there is a conflict of interest for the NCAA to use a formula developed by the tv station airing the games. Now we just have to go to the WNIT with a vengeance and beat every team by 30.

The link describing BPI even says it's not meant to be used to determine who *deserves* to be in the NC double a tournament - that's what strength of record is supposed to be for.
