He is somewhat on the fence, which is stupid--errr, I mean interesting--because he is a mini rock-star around here. According to NCAA Fan Bylaws and Protocol, we need 200 signatures to guarantee his attendance. You are only allowed to sign this petition five times or whatever you feel is appropriate. Add any comments you think might be helpful in reaching him.

I didn't know that he wasn't planning on coming. I just assumed that he was. I already started drawing the plans for the Tailgate Log Cabin and rounding up corn-fed wimmin.

C'mon Huskers, you can do it!! We want you at the game, even if you stay in the parking lot with 4Real. Lets of options for your maximum comfort!!

I think maybe he got wind of the fact that @RUScrew85 insists on eating nothing but salad at tailgate. That kind of talk... that'll put a man off his feed, for sure.

No doubt about it--salad is just wrong at tailgates. But 85 should be signing this petition anyway just to create more good will.

Huskers détente on this board was a huge welcome to the Big Ten! His thoughtful words have made me a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan forever. After we were invited into the B1G I stayed at the same hotel in Orlando as the Cornhuskers who were playing in the bowl game three days after ours. I forget the name of our bowl or their bowl.... What great fans!! Anyway, Huskers had a huge influence on me and I will always root for the Cornhuskers (except when we play them). Thanks Husker and please come to New Brunswick! We will welcome you with open arms...

HaHa, I wouldn't call it on the fence, I just don't make definitive plans that far out. I do have a "idea" of what might happen though.

Flying in private on Thursday with some friends who have meetings there. Staying in some way over priced hotel on Thursday night. I haven't lined rooms up for the rest yet as I am trying to decide when I am leaving. If I want to fly home private(much preferred) I would have to leave Sunday morning, however, I was planning on going to the Giants/Patriots game on Sunday afternoon. I can fly back Monday but would have to have somebody drive(200 miles) to pick me up at the airport on Monday afternoon.

I should have everything figured out in the next couple of weeks(maybe). A lot of times for away games I don't decide to go till Wed. of game week. I am trying to make sure I can come but stranger things have happened.

For the record, our farm's corn is ready for picking too. The guy in Salem County just sounds like he owns his own market and is enjoying the extra pub.

Stop derailing my efforts to get you here. When you have your plans confirmed, post proof. Until then, and until Mrs. Screw verifies the info, this thread continues.

Huskers, certainly Mr.Screw, RaRa, Patrick, Gunboat and a few others would want to repay the extreme generosity you showed us when we were out in Lincoln. I cannot promise private tours of the stadium (although I will try to see if there is a way to get that done) I cannot even begin to offer 50 yard line suites (but I can get you to sit up on the 50 yard line next to Eric LeGrand's retired #52). What we can offer is epic tailgating with all the food and drink you could possibly want.

It will be fun. you should really fly out.

Epic tailgate.

I don't require epic. Just a beer....or 30

I think this is a case of not knowing what you're missing.

When Rutgers was invited into the B1G some of us saw it as an opportunity to show the conference what real tailgating is all about.

Gourmet food. Spectacular amenities. Top-shelf (and sometimes homemade), premium alcoholic beverages. Women falling down in the mud. No Penn St. fans. In short, everything you can think of that embodies the ultimate tailgate experience.

Son, we are not disappoint.

And just think how happy I will be--no, how thankful I will be--when you, Huskers, hand deliver to me, all the way from Nebraska, my future ex-wife. I mean, you kinda promised something along those lines when I was in Lincoln, so it's time to deliver. This is just another way you and I will be bonded for life. Once you make your plans I'll send you specs on my minimum requirements (personality, diet, etc.), which will give you plenty of time to scour the land for an option or two. This is what being in the B1G is all about. The CIC is one thing, arranging for ex-wives takes it to a whole 'nother level.

Huskers, we're hosting quite a few fellow Nebraska fans at our tailgate in the Blue lot. We told them it's a BYOL (bring your own livestock) kind of party so if you feel lonely or out of place, I'm sure we can hook you up!

You can expect RaRa to show up early and stay late. Ha

I just want Husker to come so we can boo him like so many of us did when he was refing games back in the day.

Got to make the guy feel at home:)

I'll be at the prayer breakfast, and am making a list of things to pray for. Already have about 40 things on it. If history is any indication, and it frequently is, they won't be answered, which will be confirmed as soon as I get to the tailgate and see the livestock interacting with the people.

I ain't signin no dam petition, now you kids get off my porch!

ps. just make sure you all are hosting this guy in the Blue Lot, I'm not walking anywhere :)

Huskers - maybe add some more miles on that +300K Chevy suburban and make the drive. Talk about epic roadtrip, cruising through the B1G landscape.

Bring Runzas so I can finally enjoy one of these tailgate things.

And yeah ya old goat c'mon over. I'll see you until 6PM when I have to go to sleep.
