JF sucks, because his team is LOADED with 4 stars and they are only 1 game better than us without having played anyone as good as UW and OSU yet.

It's kinda why you want Franklin to get fired pretty much right away. I understand the whole "let him stay there and win just enough for them to keep him" mentality, I really do. But I don't think the Peds are going to sing that song. Franklin is a dead man walking. Schiano owes Urban one more season after this one...

Exactly. Meyer normally wants a two-year commmitment from an assistant. I, too, hope Franklin wins just enough to stay until a year when no sure-fire candidates are out there.
I really do not want to see Schiano at Penn State, although to be fair about it, by the time he took that job, assuming it's not next year, it will have been a while since he was on the sidelines at Rutgers and high school kids do not have much of an attention span. Sure, he'll have a relationship with the h.s. coaches, but do you really think it's the same coming from Penn State as it was coming from Rutgers? So I will worry, but not panic, if that happens.

As long as they can squeak by with wins like today then Franklin will be safe.
Winning close games, like Franklin has been doing is much better than losing them.
Sure they won't beat OSU and Michigan but do PSU fans really expect to beat those teams ? I'd say No.
Schiano will be glowing from OSU success, and may well have a NC ring. Although Ash seems to be no pushover, I don't want Schiano on steroids (vs the early 2000's Schiano) at PSU.
I wouldn't be so sure. PSU sees itself as linebacker U, Schiano may seem like a very good fit. They may write off Schiano's lack of offensive success as a Big East talent issue, figuring with their $$$ they can afford a good OC, and will have the talent to make it work. And they could be right.
Yeah, I don't see PSU wanting to be linebacker U anymore. They want to run a modern offense. I'd be more concerned with them hiring a Dan Mullen or even Dick Rod than Greg Schiano.
We hope he stays a long time too...it's not like you were competitive against either UW or OSU...so what's the point of bragging that we are only 1 game better? I'm sure you'll be just as competitive next week against Michigan, at least you can say you played them...No PSU fan would rather have Chris Ash over CJF

To answer OP, Greg Schiano will never be the head coach at Penn State. Beyond the fact that he simply wouldn't be a good hire, you may remember his name was mentioned in relation to Sandusky recently. I personally lend little if any credence to those comments, but even PSU's administration isn't dumb enough to make that move.
I suppose Les Miles has a non-zero chance of coaching at PSU someday, but I'd call it highly unlikely.
